Cleanliness at Polynesian?

Has anyone ever had a problem with cleanliness at the Poly? We've stayed there twice and there was a couple of problems. Fans not working, light bulbs burnt out, dirt etc.

If you have had a problem please say which longhouse.

We've never had a problem, several people have just returned and said everything was great, very clean, awesome! Seaspray posted a review recently and so did Tess, I believe.

We stayed there in April, and if anything we had over zealous housekeeping. They were great and they re-organized the bathroom with all of our travel kits every morning. My son ate to much one night and got sick on our balcony, we called house keeping. They were there in 5 minutes and when they saw how upset my son was they were so wonderful to him. For the rest of the stay we had lots of towel creatures.

We stayed in Fiji with a Magic Kingdom view.

hmmm, Fiji are all garden views. Maybe you got lucky and got one of those rooms that is classified as garden, but the lagoon can be seen.

It wasn't Fiji. It was Tuvalu. The whole time we were there I called it Fiji too..I don't know what I was thinking.

I recently read about someone's stay at the poly, but I don't remeber who/where it was. They were on the first floor, and their sliding door to the patio was broken. They called the desk, and maintenance fixed it while they were at dinner that night. I don't remeber the longhouse.

No problem at all for us, we were in Tokelau.

We never had a problem in Raratonga and the resort of the resort was clean too.

Echoing SeaSpray, we just returned from the Polynesian last night. The resort never looked better (and we've stayed there about 10 times since 1987). Room was clean, a burned out bulb in the bathroom was replaced without us reporting it. The desk lamp burned out during our stay so I left a note for the housekeeper and it was replaced when we got back to the room for our afternoon break.
