Cleaning your stamps????

How do you clean your stamps? I did see the scrub pads and cleaning solution at Micheals but isn't there something I could use from home that would do the same thing with out having to buy those products? Could I use a old soft tooth brush? What about cleaning solution? Just water, or windex? I have heard of using baby wipes-but no babies in this house!!

I use baby wipes. There's a difference of opinion on if they are harmful to your stamps or not. No babies in this house either, but a box of wipes isn't too expensive (don't even need to buy a name brand).

If you don't have baby wipes in the house then you are missing out on one of the BEST inventions of all time! No joke I use them for just about everything, from cleaning off chocolate on my coush to sticky fingers to cleaning stamps and other art stuff! My sister uses them to clean her leather sofa- her sofa guy told her it was ok to use, and I once saw my cousin use a wipe to clean some kind of oily thing off of his leather jacket. I still have one child in diapers but I will never have a house without wipes. Go buy yourself a pack and start to use them, I'm almost certain you will love them. Sorry, this sounds so passionate over baby wipes but I truly do love them.

I personally use the scrub pads, but I started out using the baby wipes. They worked great!

Just a word of caution, I was told to get wipes that were alcohol and lanolin free. I think those were the two ingredients. I was told those ingredients can damage your stamps. I always just bought the cheapest ones I found and they didn't have the stuff it wasn't suppose to have in it.

Baby, wipes, definately! And DMoss is right- the cheapest ones are the best! My neighbor makes her own baby wipes by soaking paper towels in Baby Magic (not sure how much water) and keeps them in a ziploc bag-- even cheaper!

I used just a damp cloth and another time I used alcohol and a Qtip...worked just fine!
