Cleaning up trash

I received our papers yesterday . After I read thru the booklets, I had a question concerning maid service/trash pickup. It states that trash pickup is done on the fourth day. Is there a place where we can throw away our trash bags or do we keep the bags in our room for the four days? I don't know if this will be an issue but last year we stayed at BCV with four adults and we ate breakfast each morning in the room and a few nights we ate a late supper in the room as well. I am concerned that we will have more than one bag of trash in four days.

All of the DVC resorts have a place where you can bring/empty your trash if you don't want to wait for Trash & Towels service or a full clening service. There should be extra trash bags underneath the ones lining the trash cans in your unit.

When we were there in January at SSR, alot of people just left the bags of rubbish outside their rooms to be collected, thought this looked a bit unslightly considering there was a trash room, although it is locked at certain times of the day.

I think most of the bags you see in the hallways are actually there due to housekeeping. Believe it is their practice to put the bags in the hallway for another employee to pick up.

No matter who does it, I agree it is "unsightly" - to say the least.

The trash issue is the only complaint I have about SSR. When we asked where to take the trash we were told to just sit it outside the door in the morning. Dsis was in a different room and she was told the same thing. One of our quest's was finally told where to take the trash and the door was locked whenever he tried to throw the trash out . Susan

It also took us a while to find the trash room at SSR. When we did, I was annoyed that there were no extra trash bags in the room. Then I discovered the extra bags in our unit under the sink, under where the garbage can had been. Oops...I felt kinda dumb...

At OKW every building has a trash room where you should bring your trash. It is on the ground floor, you really can not miss it.
