Cleaning up before dinner

On our AK day we will be going to dinner at Jiko, I think we will save the rafting ride until late in the day but that means we will be all wet and stinky after walking around the park all day. We are going to bring a change of clothes, but I was wondering if there are locker rooms and showers in the AK. I really don't want to ride the bus (or drive) all the way back to POFQ to shower and change.

Sorry no. There are only showers and locker rooms at the water parks.

There are showers in the bathroom by the pool at AK lodge. I've used them a few times- they are not bad at all. And they have a hair dryer in there, but I didn't see any lockers. This would be the most convenient place for you since it is right by Jikos!

We really think it is worth the time to go back to the resort to shower and change, take a little break before we head off for dinner. You will enjoy your meal better feelling refreshed.

If you arrive at the AK early in the day, you will no doubt be ready to head back to your resort by 3:30 anyway. That will give you plenty of time to get cleaned up for dinner and relax a little.

There are lockers at AK. They are on the left after coming in the turnstiles, but before going into the "jungle" trail area. I know because we always bring a change of clothes for changing into after riding the raft ride.

trust me you will feel better if you take a little brake and shower up before going to dinner. We always go back to the room and take a bath rest for 30 or longer maybe even a nap and go to dinner then back into the parks after dinner. It feels like you get two days instead of one because you leave your room feeling revived. WOW I sound old for my age naps and all.
