DH and I decided to gather up anything we don't use anymore and sell our stuff on Ebay to having extra money for the holidays.

We sold everything from board games, to clothes, computer stuff, an old Ipod, and a Wii. Made over $300!! Now we have money for Christmas gifts. :santa:

Anyone else doing the Ebay thing for some extra holiday cash?

No, but I am glad it is paying off for you!!! YAY! :)

We're doing the same thing but with Craigslist. Our current total is $313 - I'm listing new things every week.

It's so much fun to be decluttering and essentially getting paid for it. Dh and DD started out kind of laughing at me and 'my project' now they're totally into it. DH keeps saying he can't believe what people buy.

Goal is $700 by our January Disney trip - I'd love to pay for our APs in cash!

We sold a bunch of electronics we're not using like old cell phones, an iPod, video games, etc. and so far we're at about $400. Now it's got me wanting to scrounge around in our closets to find more stuff to sell :rotfl:

nice!! I put some stuff up on Etsy- I got a few sales but it seems to have slowed down a bit.

Maybe I'll try ebay with some of my newer items and get some more Christmas funds!

The voice in my head keeps nagging me to do it, but I haven't yet. I have a bunch of Gymboree pajamas and outfits that I want to sell. I just can't make myself get into the mood to take the picture, post it, and then boxing everything up to ship it out. That's really the worst part for me - figuring out shipping costs and getting to the post office. Any suggestions?

I hear you, it's a lot of work. I went around collecting all the items, and my DH took pics of everything and posted on Ebay, and then packaged everything up. We spent the better part of a Sunday afternoon doing this.

Same here! I'm going through my closet seeing what else I can live without! :lmao: This is my first experience selling stuff online, and it's so addictive. Plus it's really fun to watch the last hour of the auctions. (That's what I'm doing now!) People bid like mad within the last 60 minutes, it's crazy.

Its GREAT isnt it :) We are moving next spring and I am already planning a HUGE Yard sale! Everything will be priced to sell as I dont want to move it!!! I do put things on Craigslist every now and again and usually it sells pretty fast.... and no fee - Sold a box of my daughters two small clothes and the person that bought them were thrilled!!! right before school started... and they got a bargin and I was just happy to have it gone :) I dont use ebay anymore they are not Seller friendly anymore.. .we do still buy once and a while.. :)
