Cleaning the FREEZER...?

Hey everyone : I am trying to clean my freezer. My freezer has food (esp ice cream) on the walls of the freezer.

I am using a hot soapy sponge but the sponge just gets all frozen and I keep going to the sink to get it hot again.

Any tips on how to clean my freezer and prevent SPONGE BURN (I just kill myself)...(well there needs to be some humor in housecleaning)...

Maybe fill up a bowl with warm water and take it to the freezer with you. I don't know. I try not to go in my freezer, you never know what might be in there. I'd hate to lose a finger.

I use the bowl of warm water thing....and no sponge. Towel ...and also an ice scrapper for the sides

Turn the cooling temperature down in the freezer and let it warm up, then clean!

OKAY CLAUDIA: ...Thank you for that awesome tip. Just spent an hour thoroughly cleaning my freezer...(yup on SUnday night..ugh)!!!
I filled up a sauce pan full of hot soapy SALTY water and my sponge NEVER once froze up. AND the best part of all I have the cleanest freezer.

Thanks for the tip on the salty water. I always have so much trouble. I will try that the next time I have to do that Awful job. UGGGHH
