Cleaning prints?

Potentially a weird question, but someone on here will probably know the answer. I brought my friend's wedding pictures to Florida to work on her wedding album, which did not happen. As I've started to work on it now, I found about 5 photos stuck together face to face - I'm not sure with what, nothing was spilled, the container was generally closed, and it didn't affect any other photos. Honestly, it looks like the photo ink (or whatever) itself actually came off on another photo. Is there any way to clean these off? I can ask for new copies if necessary, but since I asked her for the original files back when they were married (in October 09...I know, I'm terrible) and haven't yet got them, it would be best if I could just get these looking ok. Thanks all!

You could try soaking them in warm water and maybe using a q-tip while they are in water but it might rub the ink off.

If they are still stuck together you can either do the water or hold them in the steam of a boiling pot of water.

Either way, you might want to ask for new copies.

No, not still stuck together, just a little gunky looking. She just had a baby so I'll wait to bother her about it until later, but thanks for the answer!
