Cleaning Pressed Pennies

Hi! In preparation for our trip in 13 days (woo hoo!) we pulled out my DS' pressed penny folder and noticed that some were corroded...any suggestions to clean them?

Also, can anyone direct us to the most recent and updated pressed penny list??

Hi we are big pressed penny finders we check every state we go thru so we have about 12 books full, ours do get dark, I have heard someone on hear said put them in ketchup, I tried that and yuck! I think I would rather see then dark, they have also said a vinager soak but they will still change colors in the end good luck

I clean ours in vinegar before we press them so I would think to do the same after

We did a science project years ago about lemon juice, and other uses for it. One was to clean pennies. It really works. Soak them over night in a dish of lemon juice and they look brand new in the morning.

Packets of Taco Bell Hot sauce will make them look shiny and new!

Just use a pencil eraser, works just fine.
