Here's a link I found on another thread - a chart showing where you can find pressed pennies throughout WDW - enjoy!!

After using the search feature on the document, I actually see there are no dumbo pennies!! So, I wish you pixiedust: !!!

Thanks BWVNUT,

I was hoping there was one. There are plenty others to choose from. Thanks again.

I Didn't Have Any More Canned Tomato In The House So I Just Put Some Of Our Oldest Pennies(pre 1982) In Ketchup And About A Half Hour Later They Are Getting Very Shiny And Almost Completely Clean. I Think After An Hour Or So They Would Be Completely Clean.

Thanks for the info on using pre- 1982 pennies. I never would have thought of that! I was planning on using just 2007 pennies since the date is sometimes still legible after pressing.

I used an m&m tube put in 2 quarter and a penny 2 quarter and a penny ..They were all ready to go and i kept it in my fanny pac and when i came to a machine it was a piece of cake since they were all ready ..and i was saving some not all but for 6 peeps .. :dance3:

What a great idea!!! My daughter just asked me if we could do the pressed penny things in Disney. I have a few of these M&M tubes and will definitely use this technique. Thanks for the idea!!:thumbsup2

Just wanted to vouch for the info on here. Ketchup worked great for cleaning a bunch of 1976 pennies I bummed off my grandmother. I tried Taco Bell hot sauce too, because I read that somewhere, but it didn't work as well.

The M&M tube trick was a great suggestion. Other people at the machines seemed jealous because I didn't have to hunt for change.

We sure love the collection we started last trip. Can't wait to get more.

Dumb question- What side do you put the penny in, Heads or Tails out?

Another suggestion that I got from another thread(sorry, I can't remember who posted it but would like to give them credit). Buy small magnets(the ones with a sticky side) from Wal-Mart in the craft department and put them on your pennies. That way you have a souvenir magnet that didn't cost a fortune.

My DH still laughs about me cleaning pennies before our last trip. I tried the vinegar and salt thing, only to have them not get clean AND the solution ate through some of the pennies!

Yes, they were nice and shiny, but give them a few weeks and they will be back to turning color again.

And I think that the "head" of the penny faces the left ... but I could be wrong. I always forget! :confused3 You want to make sure the "head" side gets pressed.
