cleaning crocs

Well, when the disboards were having technical difficulties today and I couldn't get back to my post (which BTW I still can't seem to get back to) I went and did a little online searching about cleaning crocs. The crocs website suggests soap and water for regular cleaning but they also mention "crocsbutter" to return crocs to "their original luster" . But I haven't been able to find out what "crocsbutter" is. My search on the crocs site even turned up nothing. Anyone know anything about "crocsbutter" or have any more ideas or things they've tried that have worked? Gotta get those crocs looking good for our trip!

However, I have never tried it. It's strange they do not sell it at retail stores that sell crocs. Anyhooo...I just use warm water and dish soap to wash our crocs. Works great!

Wear them right in the shower..Wash them up take them off and let 'em dry....

I think someone said put them in the washer. Then buff them up with armor all. I would think the dishwasher would work too.

Thanks everybody - I was able to find the crocsbutter on the crocs site thru the link from meloneyb21 - I'm not sure why I couldn't find it yesterday
They show a picture of an old pair "before and after" - it looks like it will work great - and it was $4.99 which, if it can breathe new life into a few old pairs, will be well worth it.

I've thrown mine in the dishwasher and they come out great! ;-)

I throw my kids Crocs in with the washing machine with their laundry! They come out looking much better. I've seen the Crocs butter at the Crocs carts in the malls but have never purchsed it. Might be worth a try.

I've thrown mine in the washing machine and I've scrubbed them with a brush/ soap/warm water and they still look awful. I did beat on them pretty well as far as dirt goes.. I've worn them to a kennel I volunteered at and ran through mud with dogs and I've used them for yard work.. they're black and look DIRTY. I'll try the dish washer.. I'm guessing orange glo will probably work just as well to shine them up.

The Crocs store at MCO sells crocsbutter. I got some, but was skeptical. As it turned out, the black crocs I bought developed an odd whitish look where the shoe bent near my toes I wouldn't have expected to see until I'd worn them for a loooong time. Even the saleswoman said it was odd, but the crocsbutter immediately made them look new and the problem hasn't resurfaced.

i put mine in a dishwasher once, it worked well cause the soap we use had bleachin it!

I clean mine down with Baby Wipes.

All the methods listed work.

Crocsbutter basically restores the shine and enhances the color. I wouldn't use it to clean them since it's expensive (to me anyway). I'd clean them with whatever method works best for you and then give them a buffing with the crocsbutter.

When I saw it at a mall kiosk it was a sponge with the oil (or whatever) imbedded in it. It's not like a tin of saddle soap etc.
