Cleaning Cricut Mat

I know there was a thread on this but can't find it! What do you use to clean your cricut mat and do you clean it after every time?

I use baby wipes. Non-sented generic wipes. They're cheap and easy to clean it. I do it if I've use my mat a lot. One cut, I'll wait

I heard baby wipes too. They are also good for cleaning stamps too.

Don't the baby wipes mess up the sticky? I have gone through them very quickly I think where the stuff isn't sticking but I'm not cleaning them....hmmm

Do you put the plastic cover on when it's dry?

The baby wipes work great on the mat. It doesn't take off the sticky at all, just removes the paper residue. Once it is dry, I put the plastic sheath back on.

They usually take 5-10 minutes to dry and they don't remove the sticky at all. I've had my bug since April, moderate to heavy use and I've only tossed the original mat because it was defective. I'm still using my first refill pack (I alternate sides, don't use full sheets unless the cute requires me to and alternate mats)

I haven't had to do that to mine yet, but everyone on the cricut boards swear by the baby wipes.
