Clean out your jeans pockets.......

I just bought 5 new pair of jeans for my DD for school, I was cutting off tags and taking off belts to wash them, and I also checked the pockets. You know sometimes the little pieces of paper are in the pockets saying "Inspected by # 8". Well, those papers weren't there, but in 3 of the pants there was a sticky "label" inside the back pockets, when I pulled them off, the sticky side had those silvery lines that make me think computer.

It was probably something to do with the UPC code, but I don't remember finding them on clothes before. And it was 3 out of 5 pants, all which were different brands.

I don't like washing labels cause it makes a mess in the washer and dryer.

Do any of you know if this is a new trend, and I should be checking "everywhere" for them?

I have no idea, but I wanted to add that you should always check the pockets of clothes before trying them on, especially in sensor stores.

Shoplifters who know how to take the sensors off stick them in pockets and the little pin can scratch you.

Probably a sensor the store uses to deter shoplifting. The sensor is deactivated at the register so it doesnt sound an alarm when you go out the door but if someone tried to steal the clothes without paying for them, it would set off an alarm when they crossed the threshold

Those are sensors. We used them at Kohl's when I worked there.

They are a pain because a lot of times we wouldn't see them or couldn't find them on the item. And if it somehow didn't get desensitized at the register, we would have to search to find the one that sets off the alarm. And sometimes associates put them in the wrong spots on items.

Not all clothing there gets the. Only certain high theft items. Shoes, jeans and lingerie and the three that come to mind.

I don't know of any other store that uses those.
