We are looking for a clean Budget friendly hotel off Disney grounds. I have seen alot but not sure how nice and clean they are and how close they truel are. Iknow if anyone know you guys do. Please help us be able to afford to go back this May

We just stayed at the Doubletree Suites at Downtown Disney. Technically this is considered a Downtown Disney Resort Area hotel, which means bus service to the parks is included. Right now the Doubletree is running at around $114 per night for May.

All the rooms are suites so it's possible to have a kids area and a grown ups area after bedtimes. A mini-fridge and microwave are also included. Breakfast in their dining room is pricey but if you watch they sometimes offer rates that include a free breakfast.

The other DDRA hotels are the Hilton ($189); Holiday Inn ($109); Royal Plaza ($120). Good luck planning and enjoy your vacay!:)

One of the main things you might want to define, if someone here is able to offer suggestions, is what price range you consider as "Budget friendly".

I agree; it helps if you give your idea of a nightly rate. Also, how many people - like if you need more than one room or a suite.

I'd first of all stick with national chain hotels to start. Also, you can read reviews on www.tripadvisor.com (but I always take in mind that there is always going to be someone who complains about stupid things!).

Sometimes you can get a deal on a condo if you agree to go to a timeshare presentation. I have a good friend that did that once.

It also depends if you have a rental car or your own car. If so, you're in a better position, as most hotels don't have free shuttles around.

The first trip my DH and I took (the year before we got married) to Disney we stayed at a Residence Inn in Kissimmee (not there anymore) for about $59 a night. We enjoyed it as it had free breakfast (which we had at 7am every day) and we used the kitchen to fix some meals to save $$. Also, the restaurants right around there on 192 had some great prices (I recall a Chinese place that had a great lunch buffet for about $15 for the two of us total - it was so good we went back a couple of times). I'd definitely stay along that route for a budget trip.

If you want to be closer in with shuttles, the Downtown Disney hotels are very convenient. Don't grocery shop at Gooding's though - their prices are inflated.
