Clay Aiken's clown shoes on AI...?

Since we were not going to be home for the American Idol Finals, I taped the show. My kids have watched it several times since...the other day one of them says "look at Clay's Clown Shoes".

I looked to see what they were talking about, and I think they're right...it looks like his shoes are a foot-and-a-half long. It looks like they extend 4 or 5 inches beyond where your toes would be. Their is no way any foot could fit all the way to the front of the shoe, unless it had been run over with a steam roller.

Is this the latest fad...? extra long, pointy shoes for men? I need to get out more.

I thought they looked really large also. I think he is just one of those skinny guys with reall huge feet. I guess I notice shoes all the time b/c I have problems w/ my feet and i LOVE shoes.

About halfway through the video, you'll notice them...especially before the other singer sits on the stool. They look like regular shoes, except they're just really long.

DW Lauri mentioned one time during Taylor's performance that his feet looked huge. She looked up his shoe size and I think it was 14?

NO way they are inaccurate about his shoe size those puppies are much bigger than that. Both of my boys have a 13 and it is big but no where near that those gun boats looked like. I must admit it is difficult if I am in a store like Marshalls and do not have a cart...I can only carry one pair at a time.

He's actually got really big feet LOL... this has been talked about before! He's not small either he's over six feet tall, just really thin so I think his feet just really stick out

I didn't notice that his shoes look really big. They look normal for men's shoes. Although I'm quite surprised to learn that he's over 6 feet tall. He doesn't seem tall at all. And I have to say that that clip has got to be one of the dumbest 5 minutes on TV ever!

Bella the Ball I can totally relate. My son is 13 1/2 and WEARS a 13 1/2... BIGFOOT, man or beast????

I never noticed Clay's feet either, so busy looking at his HAIR!! Actually, I LOVE his new look, he looks like he gained weight and his skin just looks beautiful! and his VOICE? Unbelievable!

NOT that I'm giving up the Soul Patrol to become a Claymate, though!!

I prayed to the Lord for grace, wit, and charm the day that I met him...yeah, that didn't happen. I instead tromped on his toes, apologized profusely, and had to endure his snark afterwards.
