I don't know why I am going to comment but I feel I must. I have met Clay at a meet n' greet after a concert and he was very cordial and hospitable.
However, I think Clay has issues just like everyone else. He had a horrible father, planned on working with disabled children before he became "famous", professes to have a strong faith and he is very talented, no one can deny that. But all that stuff doesn't mean he is comfortable in his skin. If he is gay, he isn't obligated to come "out" in my opinion if he isn't comfortable with it, not everyone is in my experience in life and its hard for many people to come to the realization that they aren't conforming to what is expected of them in life.
I actually feel bad for Clay if he is at the point in his life, for whatever reason, that he can't be honest. He may not be comfortable with what he is, gay or straight. Also, I think he is financially taking care of his family now and perhaps he is afraid the $$$ will go away if something like this was to become public knowledge. He may be worried about feeding people, who knows!
I hope I said what I was trying to say right, I hope I didn't offend anyone, I apologize in advance if I did.
