Classical Music

I know it sounds random, but does anyone else listen to it? I was wondering because I'm currently listening to Mussorgsky. I also love Tchaikovsky, Dvorak, Beethoven, many others... and some modern composers such as Joe Hisaishi, who did much of the music for Hayao Miyazaki's movies. It may also influence my musical tastes that I play the violin. Lol.

So how about you guys?

My facebook status earlier today was "is jamming to classical music"! When I get bored I try figuring out "Swan Lake : Scene" on the piano!
I'm so glad to hear someone else enjoys it! Tchaikovsky is my favorite but I enjoy it all.

I love classical music if you consider soundtracks.

My favorite composer is probably Roberto Cacciapaglia (BEAUTIFUL Piano.) or Nicholas Hooper. Hoopers work with the last two Harry Potter films was brilliant. I don't listen to a lot of Beethoven, or the old classical music. I have a few, but I like the soundtracks from movie more. I love Hans Zimmer's work with Gladiator. Beautiful music, I think Now We Are Free is my favorite soundtrack. Most of my orchestral music is Hans Zimmer.

ETA: Forgot about Henry-Gregson Williams (think it's spelled right). He did a fantastic job with Prince Caspian and the BBC National Orhcestra of Wales does wonderful with the Doctor Who series.

Harry Potter OOTP and HBP. I have some of GOF.
The Orange Mountain Music by Philip Glass (He has very calming, peaceful music. I don't have all the songs. The Plant-Boy's song is very good).
Preluce in C Major by Maurizio Pollini I got free on itunes. Good.
Enchanted (It has a lot of just music, no singing on it)
Hymn to the Sea from titanic.
Pirates of the Carribean 3
Then I have just a few random ones that came on my zune. Things like Beethoven, short stuff though.

i do love it when i hear it, but i'm very ignorant to who composed what, and so on. but i listen to this one jazz/classical station on the radio ALL the time. i can recognize my favorites, but i don't know much beyond that.

i also love opera music, in the same way.

the loony tunes are actually where my love of classical music comes from. i may not know the composer, but i can tell you what bugs bunny was doing when it played! lol

I love classical! I play it on the guitar a lot...I guess my fave composer is Stravinky, but I like so many more. you know. Brams, Vivaldi(spl?). . .

this is a bit off topic, but any of you think Rap Music it a paradox? as in it doesn't make any sense? as in it's not music? Any way, Hooray for Classical!

I have been known to enjoy a bit of classical here and there. Actually, on iTunes there is a really good deal it is called "24 hours of classical music to start your collection" It is only 10 bucks for over 300 songs.

Yes.
I love scores for movies. I.E LOTR, Harry Potter series, POTC, Chronicles or Narnia, movies like that.
and The Hayao Miyazaki movie stuff.
And i am IN LOVE with Eric Whitacre and ALL of his work.
He does Choral music. It's all ridiculously amazing stuff.
