Classic DIS threads

Anyone else remember the story about the guy arrested because supposedly someone told him that he could put all his purchases from multiple stores (maybe all of DTD?) in one bag and just pay later? I can't remember all the details right now but it was definitely a classic!

Aaaah yes, Ecurto. Tried to find the thread but it must have poofed.
He and his partner, a NYC police officer, shopped around DTD putting everything into one of the supplied shopping bags. He was 'told' by a cm that they could go store to store and at the end pay for everything at one location.
Naturally they got caught by security and was thrown off property with the dreaded citation of never to return, which he posted a copy of.

That was such an awesome thread. I wonder if it's floating in cyberspace somewhere...:

Ohhh, I so remember this thread. Esp the part about his boyfriend being an NYPD officer. Their defense (on the thread) was that this was perfectly legal in NY and the claim was (I think) that the boyfriend might end up losing his job because of this "shopping". Bits and pieces are coming back. That was a fun one to read.

Sometimes, I will be out or at work or even reading in bed at home and MEOWY CHRISTMAS will pop into my head. I'll inevitably BURST out laughing!

Also, there was the woman who claimed to be in the High School Musical Ice Show touring company, and some how someone busted that lie wide open. We've had a lot of liars on here.

Was this really proved to be a lie? I read the thread and some random person came on and said she was lying without any real proof. Was there a follow up thread??

I don't think anything was proven either way, but since the poster who claimed to be the skater left the board right after the person said she was lying, I personally believe it was all made up.

There was one of Jeafl's presents that used to do that to me, but I have forgotten what it was. Wonder if I can find the threads...it's gonna bother me if I can't remember!

How about the women whose neighbors would park before their driveway, then one of the kids would get out of the car & throw a brown paper bag into the house thru a window. Happened everyday, if I remember right. Everyone was guessing why; was their a relative kept in that room? An animal they needed distracted in order to get in? We never did find out.

I still wonder about that thread! The OP never came back - to that thread or any other, if I'm remembering right. I still wonder if it was true, and if so what on earth was going on.

That OP mentioned that she suffered from Lupus and I've often said a little prayer that she just decided to move along to some other board and that's why we never heard from her again.
