We are classic car buffs, and own, a classic car. We belong to the local gay car club and wondered if anyone else owns,or is interested in classic cars.
I am always checking out the cars that used to be on the street in Disney-MGM studios. What happened to them?
Also at the Grand Californian entrance,is an early Cadillac out front. The DVC used to have an old bus that picked people up. I love the woody station wagon at Typhoon Lagoon, think it is a Pontiac,if my memory is intact.
The Hester and Chester parking lot in Dinoland has a Rambler, and a Corvair parked.
Disney's California Adventure has a woody towing the band around the parade route. The Route 66 section is supposed to be upgraded, and they need some cars for themeing in my opinion.
Anyone else out there?

Have you ever been to Old Town in Kissimmee? They have a huge car show every Saturday night.

I love classic cars. Use to dabble in it myself, but it was way too expensive for me! I love to see them though, and Old Town is a great place to do that!

So is the Denny's on Kirman (north) just before the L.B. McLeod intersection.

We've been so busy this summer, we haven't been to any of the car shows here in CA., gay, or straight.
Someone e-mailed me that DVC still uses that vintage yellow bus on occasion, and that it is parked at SSR.
Prices of vintage autos are skyrocketing lately, but I bought mine almost 20 years ago. And now I need a different, correct air cleaner for it as I changed out the 2 barrel carburator for a 4 barrel. There are a few on EBay for 300 bucks apiece,Yikes!

My dh and son went to a car show on Labor Day. My dh showed his 1965 red mustang with white pin stripe. He took so many pictures of all the cars. (Myself, I know nothing about a cars except their color.) There was one car that was a Hudson and they had a sun shield that was eyes to make it look like Doc Hudson from the movie. He came home with lists of all the central Florida car shows and it looks like there are alot that are either weekly or monthly. DS was happy, they got a trophy.

I don't consider myself a classic car buff, but I do own a 1968 Mustang coupe. I enjoy going and seeing all the classic cars (and new cars for that matter) but it can depress me too. I've been ripped off by mechanics who I paid to do various restoration projects on the Mustang (they did really really bad work and now out of business). Anyway, now it is just parked out in my garage and gets fired up every few weeks just to keep things in working order.

Someday I might get back around to fixing it up, but most likely it will end up being sold... :confused3

the only connection I have is I like to ride in my fathers car ........hhmmm what is it again , Its either a 1932 or 1933 Ford He spent 9 years rebuilding . ITS Beautiful. He's won a couple of ribbons and trophys . He said I could take it to the gay car show around here , but I do NOT want to be responsible for that. ( I wonder if that would get me a date<G>)
