Class ring?

So what does your schools class ring look like? Are you planning on buying it?

I'm not sure. I do know that we had to create a design for it this year - my school doesn't have seniors. But I don't know what happened.

From previous years,it looks huge and gaudy.
Very tacky.

I'm only a freshman but no way am I going to buy it.
Too ugly and too expensive.

I have one.

One side is my class year (2009) and the picture of my school mascot, the titan.
The other side is an Irish flag and the words Irish Dance.
Then my stone is my birthstone and it has a shamrock in the middle.
Then my name is enscribed inside.

All that I've seen though are really bulky and huge.
I don't like them.
They are expensive too.
I don't plan on getting one.

Yeah, I love rings but all class rings are kind of bulky and vintage looking. I'm getting one soon just because, and was wondering what y'all thought of them.

I probably won't wear it that much (I already have two diamond rings I love and wear all the time.) but it's nice for a keepsake.

We have tonssss of different options.
Somes of them are really dainty and pretty.
My mom wanted me to get one, but I'm only a sophmore, I've got tons of time to decide.

Our football rings are amazing. we get rings nicer then the rest of the class, but as a freshman I don't get any of them for a few years.

We have tons of choices not just the big and clunky ones. Mine is fairly small.
It's gold and has '08 on one side and on the other it has a treble clef and music notes then around the blue stone it has my school's name and on either side of that are two little diamonds. On the inside of the band it has my initals. I'm wearing it right now.

Mine has my school mascot and grad year on one side and my name and music notes on the other. I have a garnet as my stone w/ my school's name around it.
And I got my full name engraved on the inside.

Mine school only requires us to all have the same stone so...

Mine is small, white gold, with a saphire and two diamonds. There is no inscription, but I loooove it.

I think class rings are a waste of money.
Just on my part anyways. I mean it's cool for that last year, and for the summer, but once you get to University.. it just goes missing. You're not going to openly wear something that just SHOWS you're a frosh in Uni.
Our rings look like whatever we want them to.

I hate when people think they're a waste of money. They're a good memento of all the good times you had in high school. I still haven't taken mine off. It's like my good luck charm. I couldn't care less if people know I'm fresh out of high school. It's not like they never went to high school. It's going to stay on me for years.

Anyway mine is the princess cut in white gold with a sapphire. It has my mascot (a python) on one side and a little ballerina on the other.

I got mine my freshman year of high school. It was a sapphire stone (my birthstone), had my school mascot on one side and the sign of virgo on the other. It also had my class year and my name inscribed inside of it. I wore it all throughout high school but it doesn't really fit well anymore because I gained a lot of weight after I graduated in May.

I didn't buy one, mainly because I have my purity ring instead. I think they are nice rings, but I have other momentos from high school.

I bought one. We got the rings last thursday. Its white gold with a purple stone (school stone) on one side it has the mascot and on the other it says senior with the year i graduate and a motorboard and diploma. Also inside the stone i have an eagle.
