I'm planning our 25th class reunion with 3 of my classmates. We'd like to give a favor to everyone who attends. For our 20th, we gave ornaments with the school crest and Class of 1984 on them.

My DH got a t-shirt at his 20th reunion. He's never worn it and never will. I'd guess many others wouldn't use it either.

Do you have a suggestion that I might be able to share with the committee?

TIA!

Truthfully, I can't think of any memento I would want from a high school reunion. Maybe drink tickets for the bar, but that would be about it. ;)

Christmas ornament wouldn't make it on my tree. A tee shirt is something I could work out or clean house in, but I don't need it. It's kinda like wedding favors - how many do you honestly use or remember after the fact?

we did a cd of popular songs from the 4 years as well as a t shirt which I wear ro bed

I agree, don't waste the money on favors. It just adds to the cost of the reunion and with a lot of people out of work, etc. they would be happier to pay less for the reunion then they would taking something home that will probably never get used.

I haven't kept any of the favors from my reunions but I would use a reusable shopping bag in the school colors - but don't need the 25th reunion on it.

I've never even heard of having favors at a class reunion! I agree, save the $$ or put it towards better food/drinks!

When I was in high school I was on the yearbook committee. Our school saved all the photos that didn't make it to the yearbook. Could you find out if your school saved theirs and possibly scan them and make a disc, set it to 80's music? Discs are cheap, especially when you buy in bulk.

For my last reunion they gave us those little rubber wristbands (like the Livestrong ones) one in purple (for the spouse) and the other gold (for the alumna). They just sit in my make-up drawer.

What about a directory? My husband got one for his reunion. Had small bio in it, name, where they are living now, address, phone & email, job description and any thoughts they had like what they liked about school, favorite teacher, maybe what they are doing now.

How about a free drink at the bar? I've never heard of anyone getting/giving favors at a reunion, and I honestly don't know anyone who would want one :confused3

I've never heard of favors for a reunion either, but I love the idea of a CD of popular music from "back in the day" or a memory DVD with old pictures.

The only other thing I could think of was a can coozie. You can have them custom made cheaply with school mascots, colors, or the wording of your choice.
