Everything is getting so jumbled. Sorry for this. I'd like to move two of my resort (room only) ressies to later on down the road. I can't do it on my own through MDE. Been trying to get through since 7:00am but all I get is busy signals. So before I continue for the next few hours....is it possible for them to move a room ressie now (one is August, the other Sepotember) down to November and January or is there a later date to do that? Thank you.

Following. I just asked a similar question, although I have an AP. I cannot get through to Disney reservations or the AP line at all. Cannot get on hold. I wonder if they're even taking those calls- it's like a brick wall.

They are currently modifying 2020 reservations. You can't add tickets yet or make a new resort reservation at this time, but you can change dates, number of days, room category, etc. Yesterday I moved a trip from July to August. I switched from AKL to Riviera and was able to keep the 35% discount I got when I lost the free dining recovery offer.

Did you do this via phone? If so, how did you get through? My reservation can only be modified by phone.

I did it by phone. I called many times and finally got through. It took over 3 hours of waiting on hold but I saved $1300 by transferring the 35% discount and cutting off a day of my trip so it was worth it.

Lines busy for hours on end and people on hold for three HOURS!! How the heck does a multi billion dollar company do this? Poor planning on their end, and WDW is celebrating 50 years soon. Yes, a bad situation with the pandemic, but there are no excuses for this mess. How about don’t put everyone in a frenzy about planning so they feel they must get through immediately to make hotel changes and park reservations all on one day, before the next group logs in to the the same. Who’s idea was this anyway?

Wow, as soon as I posted that, my call got through! Yikes. Only took since this morning, but I was able to change my date to further down the fall. Can't book 2021 yet. I believe she said tomorrow.

I've been trying these 939 extensions to no avail: 7866, 7639, 7277. Are there any others?
I got through in two ways (called twice today for two separate resort issues lol):

1. I kept calling the resort number (in my case, it was the Bounceback booking number since I had a Bounceback to modify: 407-939-1923) over and over with no breaks in calling. Finally (within 5 minutes of constant dialing) one call put me through to hold, which wasn't terribly long.

2. I called the 1-800-848-6413 number for the Internet Help Desk (multi-hour hold) and after dealing with my MDE issue, I told them I had a resort question. They said they couldn't help me but could have a resort person call me back. The resort person did call me back same day. I answered & got machine asking if I was ready to take a call. When I said yes I got put on hold for only a few minutes, then got the resort agent.

Neither method was quick or easy, but I did get through to a resort agent each time.

Resort modifications for stays into 2021 begin tomorrow! I would call first thing in the morning as you'll be mixed in with the current group calling for 2020 modifications. Yeah, it really sucks but as your dates are later, I would personally wait. I also saw that there are modifications available on the MDE website now. It doesn't show in the app, but there's an option to do so now on the desktop site. However, you may not be able to keep any offers that you used (ex. Fun & Sun technically only applies to stays through Aug. 31 so any modifications after this won't be eligible for the stay). If you did use any, I would call but maybe wait a couple of weeks for the craziness to calm down.

So glad that we can modify our plans ourselves now on a desktop at least. I moved my dates by one day on either end and changed my tickets from hoppers to one park. Even if they allow hopping later on, with all the changes and event cancelations one park is enough.
