Clarification on VGF bookings from 1/1 - 1/22

Hi all - can I just double check something else please??

I know that bookings at VGF open 4 months beforehand for 10/23/13-12/31/13 from June 23rd and then it's the normal 7 mths rule for 1/1/14 onwards.

But there is the period between 1/1/14 - 1/22/14 that I'm unclear on. Does that period also have to wait until 23rd June to book, and therefore be under 7months - or can they start booking from today?

The instructions put on the DVC member site state:

"[W]hen reservations open to other Members beginning June 23, 2013, reservations with check-in dates ranging from October 23, 2013 through December 31, 2013 will be available in a 4-month booking window instead of the usual 7. Reservations with check-in dates beginning on or after January 1, 2014, will be available to be booked through their typical 7-month booking window starting on June 23."

My understanding of that is that non-VGF owners can make reservations beginning June 23, but for all dates from October 23 to Dec 31, a four month window will apply, meaning you cannot book that time more than 4 months out and thus cannot book any such dates on June 23 except Oct 23 as an arrival date and thus could book a week from Oct 23 to 30 but no other 2013 time. In other words, you could not book the week of Christmas to New Years until Aug 25. However, on June 23 you can book Jan 1 or after time based on the seven month window, meaning on June 23 you could book any trips with arrival dates from Jan 1 to Jan 23. You will not be able to do any booking at all before June 23.

That's how I understood it as well.
