Managed to sleep through 3 alarms this morning so we missed out breakfast slot. We decided to let the kids sleep in a little and woke them up at 8.30. We dressed and decided to eat breakfast on Disney Village….not a very good idea.

We arrived a Disney Village at just after 9 and wondered along, to be honest most of the restaurants looked closed, so DD had the idea of waiting a McDonalds breakfast…although she did want a cheese burger, I had to explain that the burgers weren’t done yet and shed had a choice of bacon and egg Mcmuffin, Pancakes or muffin, (not much of a breakfast menu compared to what we get over here). DD had a muffin, DSD1 had pancakes and the rest of us had the bacon and egg McMuffin. OH had a coffee and the rest of us had fruit juice, which was the best part of the meal in my opinion.

After we had eaten, or played with our breakfast in some cases we made our way down Disney village and decided we would visit Disney Studios first that day and then finish the 2 areas of the park we had left.

Disney Village was a lot quieter than the park and it was lot smaller than I thought it would be. Things weren’t very well sign posted and as there is still a lot of building work going on this would have been advantageous to stop us going down dead ends. We walked through Studio 1 and were just milling around when we came across Cruella de Ville. Out came the autograph books and the girls got her autograph and a picture and I must say she stayed in character all the time, snarling at the girls and looking very bored (unless shes really like this lol). Then we noticed Mickey by his trailer so the girls joined a very small queue to have there photo taken with him…didn’t bother with the autograph as they had already got that during our visit to Café Mickey.

After we left Mickey the girls wanted there pictures taken sat on the throne from Chronicles of Narnia. We then made out way onto the Studio Tram Tour…..this was a long queue however it was moving very quickly. This wasn’t quiet what I was expecting and DD wasn’t keen as she doesn’t like fire however it was very informative and highly enjoyable.

It was raining on and off by this stage so on went the girls rain macs…. us adults made do with caps and coats.

We made our way over to the Flying Carpets ride and walked straight on…all the kids loved this ride so that was a big thumbs up. We then made our way through Aladin Bazaar.

After this we decided to head out of Studios and back into the Park…on the way to the exit we saw Sully from Monsters Inc, Tic and Tac (which I have to admit I though were chip and dale but one of them signed his autograph as Tic and the kids were adamant that they were Tic and Tac). We also saw Goofy and Minnie Mouse but the queues were very long and the girls weren’t that bothered about meeting them.

We headed back to Disney Land park and our first stop was Frontier Land and our first port of call was the Tarzan show….This is a fantastic show, the acrobatics were very good and all the participants must be very fit…and I must admit, one for the ladies tarzan had a fantastic body lol The show is only 30 mins long but I would highly recommend it.

After this we had a wander round and was going to go on the paddle steamer, however when we got there everyone was being told to get off as there was a problem. Pocahontas Indian village was also closed, we presumed this was because of the weather and it being very wet. All the other rides were too big for our 4 so we headed for the exist. But before we left frontier land we had a walk around the fort.

We then headed for Discovery land….where our first stop was to get fast pass tickets for Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast. We then made our way on the orbitron. The queue was very long for this ride and we must have queued for about 30 – 35 mins for this 3 minute ride. Anyway all the kids loved it although my OH did nearly fall out the ride as he could not get in it properly (hes 6ft 2)!!! After this we decided to go for lunch and the girls all chose Buzz Lightyear’s Pizza Planet so we made our way round to it but when we got there it was closed!!! So we decided to go to Cafe Hyperion. DSD2 & 3 both had chicken nuggets, DD & DSD1 both had a cheeseburger, both my OH and I had a magic burger meal. The food whilst it was fast food it was very enjoyable, although the burger was just about warm!!! The portions were large and we all struggled to eat it all. Another down side of this Café is that there are no toilets inside we had to go outside the venue and find the one set of toilets in this part of the park…which isn’t much fun when you’ve got a 4 year old desperate for the toilet.

After we had eaten and found the toilet we headed for Buzz Lightyear laser blast. Again I was very glad we had fast passes… This ride was well worth the wait and we all enjoyed blasting the baddies…OH got the highest score so he was gloating for abit lol

By this time the Once upon a Dream Parade had started again and we were on the opposite side of the road so saw the parts of the floats that we’d missed the day before.

After the parade we went back into Fantasy Land, we first headed down below the castle to see the dragon and took a couple of pictures, however DD was scared of the dragon so we didn’t hang around.

The girls then all wanted to go on the tea cups again, again OH and I bowed out of this ride and left the girls to it….again the queue wasn’t very big for this ride. After this they wanted to go on it’s a small world again, the queue was abit bigger for this one than the day before but it moved very quickly and my OH saw a lot more of the ride this time as his eye wasn’t glued to a camcorder viewfinder!!! Lol

We then headed for Casey Jr Le Petit Train du cirque….this is a good ride for young children although it does get up abit of speed. When this ride ended we headed for the Le pays des contes de fees, which is a boat ride through miniature villages that are based on Disney classics….this was a very soothing ride and the attention to detail is magnificent.

It was then nearly time for the Candleabration so we headed back towards the castle and we were just in time for Mickey and Minnie and walk straight past us on there way to the stage. This was abit of a let down as the candles are lit at 6pm, it was still very bright and we could not see that the candles were lit.

After the celebrations we headed back into the castle and up the stairs and we went out onto the roof. We then headed back down stairs and had pictures taken in front of a wishing well. We then noticed Cinderella’s Coach in a courtyard at the rear of Auberge de Cendrillon restaurant, this is gated off however the girls were able to have there photo taken in front of the coach.

The girls then asked if they could have pop corn and sweets and as it was the first time that they had actually asked for something we went looking for popcorn.. The first lot we brought was salty which no one liked so that went in the bin and we managed to find to sweet popcorn and got them some sweets from the Ice Cream Company, OH had some flavoured fudge and I had a chocolate covered marshmallow on a stick.

It was then getting on for 7pm so said a sad good-bye to the Disney Parks and made our way to Disney Village. We hadn’t made a reservation for tonight and as it was getting late and most places had a 30 min wait for a table we decided to head back to the hotel and eat there. We also promised the girls that we would come back to Disney Village the next day before our taxi came to take us to the airport to that they could buy souvenirs.

We got back to the hotel and again the kids wanted to play in scally wags so off they went and OH ordered Pizza from Marcos Pizza place. We ordered 3 pizzas and 3 portions of fries which came to 40 euros. The pizzas were all delicious and very filling. It was then time for bed so off we trooped to our room.

Yet another lovely day!

Aren't Chip n' Dale known as Tic and Tac at DLRP, just as Pluto is known as Dingo?
(To my horror, I found out recently that Dingo means nutcase in French, I thought the locals were being friendly calling me Dingo when I wore my ears!! :lmao: )

Another lovely day Claire. We are flying to DLRP this year and will arrive too late to go up to Disney village for a meal so it's good to know the pizzas at the Explorers are good. :goodvibes
