CL shows?

I know Red the firetruck comes out in CL at some point and also Mater and Lightning McQueen. Also, the lighting ceremony at dusk.

But there was originally supposed to be a DJ dance show called "DJ's Dance and Drive" with a tricked out blue party car with speakers, etc. I haven't heard anyone say they saw this. I guess it didn't make it off the drawing board. Does anyone know anything about this?

We saw it several days when we went the first of this month. The only problem for us was it was always coming out at the same time we were trying to get throught that area to use our fastpass for RSR. And it can get realllllllly crowded in that corridor.

I think there hasn't been that much discussion about it because it's not all that exciting.

The times are in the daily schedule. DJ comes out with several 'car hops' ostensibly from Flo's. I can't remember if they did 4 or 5 songs (that spanned quite the time range and included Car Wash) encouraging audience members-especially kids- to dance with them then they're done. My 3yr old enjoyed it but the crowd was definitely thinner at the end than the beginning. And they do this at the main Carsland intersection (Rt 66 and Cross St) so it can congest the area a bit. The night we saw the neon lighting there was also a DJ's dance party going on at the same time.

As for Mater and Lightning, they are in constant rotation all day (one at a time... I'd say maybe 20-30 min between switches?) in front of the Cozy Cone Motel.

I know Red, the firetruck opens the morning in CL. Maybe it's just EMH people? I don't know. We will have to remember to get an entertainment schedule - usually neglect doing that.

When we were there Red came out several times a day and parked in front of CL City Hall for photos. I don't think the times for this were in the schedule other than between the hours of 'X-X' which was pretty much all day during daylight hours.

We saw DJ multiple times, we stopped and watched for a bit but it wasn't really geared towards us so we moved on. We also saw Red over across from Luigi's Flying Tires. He was there most of the day iirc. We would pass him most often as we walked from Bugs Land to Cars Land or vice versa. Mater & Lightning do their M&G in front of the Cozy Cone, there can be quite the line, we waited in line for the dill pickle popcorn one day and saw them switch cars once, I think they are out for 15-30 min. at a time but since I haven't waited to meet them I don't know for sure.
