My peeps  brought it to my attention that CKC sent out an email on the date and registration date for CKC Manchester, NH.

It is going to be April 27th - 28th. Registratio n starts for classes on January 25th.

So who is in this year? I am on the fence as I wasn't wow'ed last year by any new products or great deals.

I'd love to hang out with the peeps. I'll have to see if anything is happening. That's after April Vacation so we will be knee deep in Track and Field.

I would LOVE to go, but we'll be on the west coast, preparing to sail to Hawaii.

Mom and I have a room but now I'm on the fence as well. It's alot of money to stay (although the break away from home is nice) but I'm not all that impressed by the classes so far. Normally I have to pare it way down to the 3-4 I limit myself to. At first glance I'm only at 7 and 2 of those I was like :confused3. I only saw 3 that might intrest mom.

Course I'll miss seeing you Lisa!!!! and the crop on the cape is definately a no go this year. Tom just expanded sugaring to 5000 taps!!!:scared1: and our normal guy that does the sap pick up is now driving bus :eek: means I may have to start doing that. A 1 ton dump truck full of 1000 galls of sap not going to my cup of tea the first few trips and depending on which truck I could end up in the standard. :rolleyes1

guess the descision will be made at some point on ckc. I hate doing a hotel for 1 night to much work. but 130+ in savings goes a long way on the floor. it's not like its a long drive just over an hour for us we could so do down and back on both days.

Lisa, PUSH! You are off the fence on the other side to go to CKC. :lmao::rotfl2: I know we were not wowed last year, but it is still a peep day! ;):cool1:

If nothing else we will at least go down on sat. I do need to see everyone!

was just looking at the classes again and I'm still wondering how much to do there??

Hopefully in the next few days more will chime in with their plans.

We're sitting right next to y'all on the fence! Not thrilled with last year's CKC, but it was fun for the day to see the peeps...and we found a few fun scrap crap items to buy. :woohoo: We have theater tix for that Sat., but might see if they can be switched. Hmmmmm... Also, Christy, we do hope to get up to see you this year for sugaring - the car better cooperate this time!

Pam I was hoping you'd be up for sugaring!!! but hope to see you at CKC too.

I need to talk to mom abt it. we may just do day trips it's not like the drive is all that bad for us. Save a bundle in hotel fees......

Ok, one of my peep pushed me over the fence. :rotfl: I hope that vendor brings those butterflies again. My van of six has five seats spoken for. Yes, Caroline, there is a seat with your name on it. If we have more attendees from our area, we can always bring another van into service.

Linda - switch that cruise to the later Hawaiian cruise. ;)

Christy, if nothing else, how about you and Mom come over just for Saturday, then we can see is other. Then you don't have to worry about the expense of the hotel. I haven't looked at the classes, I need to do that. Were the ones you were looking at on both days? While I have your attention, have you seen a surveyor's tripod up in your area? I am looking for a surveyor's wooden stand, just started to look but thought perhaps VT may have a few.

Co'mon Pam, check if you can change those tickets. :)

Buffy, yup, it is after spring vacation. We'll have to keep our fingers crossed that day just might not have a track and field event. Can you give MomK a heads up? I think the Genealogy conference we attended a few years ago might be March 31st. We'll have to see if we can do it this year. (Christy, the conference is in Franklin, MA. Fantastic classes and it's free!

Franklin? I'll come and visit ;)

Jen how bout you visit CKC too????

WHY does everything have to happen during sugaring season??????? This year there is NO way I'll be going anywhere! We (he) went from 1500 to 4500 and there is another bush that we have permission to use but never caught up with the owners again to go over the details. So with that one ondeck for next year we will be pushing 6000-6500.
I should NOT complain if we have 2-3 good years I could work for the fun of it not cause I have to.

We will definately do sat day trip have to see what mom wants to do.

Possibly. Depends on what else is going on. It's the 100th anniversary of girl scouts this year and my life is pretty much revolving around that, sadly. I am *trying* not to spend too much so a trip to the sales floor would probably be difficult for my budget. We'll see...

I was so unimpressed even with last years offerings that I didn't even open the email that came recently! But I am def. game to at least hang out with y'all! I could even splurge and book myself into the evening crops. I find those to be really productive if I am well prepared. Would anyone else be up for a crop time or two? I'll go along with whatever the group decision ends up being. I am close enough to come and go...........P

no you didn't I'm just to behind in life to answer. I keep thinking I'm catching up but really I think I'm getting more behind. This library stuff is consuming me.

I figured you'd be in and out and doing the crops, I know I won't be doing those even if we do stay overnight. but I'll text you when I'm there so we can hopefully meet up

:scared1: that's a bad thing to be out of Linda!!!!

Just let me know what you want

I can be the maple sugar mule again. ;)

sorry, I've been out of commission this week. I was hit with severe stomach pain sunday night that lasted the week. Unfortunately none of the tests I had could identify the problem, only what it wasn't.

A full van is heading for NH Saturday, April 28th. I expect we will arrive around 10:00 am. Some have signed up for the Shabby Card Class from 4:00 -5:00pm, after we will head home.

So how about those who are attending, we plan on meeting around 2:00 pm in the cafe area of the vendor room? We can chit chat some, maybe do another loop around the vendor room, whatevah!

Remember ladies, to bring address labels for the drawings. We usually have pretty good luck in the drawings. :)

Lisa :rotfl2: I've always wanted a mule.

so mom and I are giving up on the thurs hotel night my first class isn't until 1 so we can get up and head down early and be there for when the floor opens. given that we're doing that I HOPE i get a good spot in the garage last 2 years I was right out side the door which was great. We'll do some floor shopping in the am and then classes in the pm. Stay the night and catch up with those of you who come up for the day.

Pam A. if you're around fri night and want to do dinner let me know. Or anyone else too. last year they had cafe on the park open and it was great case JD's was PACKED!

as for syrup orders send me a pm and I'll have it ready for pick up or my personal mule can deliver :lmao:
