Civic or Camry?

My new 2016 Honda Accord Sport has a whopping 153 miles on it this morning :P I couldn't pass up the lease deal but for your purposes the one I bought was only $2500 more than the Civic which is what I intended to buy lol. In the end, over four years payments' that's not much difference in price but the difference in comfort is huge. I am really surprised at the gas mileage I am getting as well...about 30 mpg around town and the one trip I took (70 miles RT) I got 35 mpg. The civic would get about an additional 5 mpg. My last car was the Honda Crosstour which I kept for three years and really liked as well. Prior to that, Toyota Rav4, hated it ! I've also had a Toyota pickup that I loved, but for the most part I find the Toyotas subpar in interior detail and styling, they seem a bit "lighter" or more plastic so to speak. I agree with the person who said resale value should be great if you hold on to it long enough. Everyone loves a used Toyota or Honda as a second/teen car.

BMW's are pretty popular with people I work with. They love the design, how it drives, the engineer, but none of them bought them, they all lease them. One of them said, they would never want to have a BMW after the warranty expires. I think I would be afraid to put my daughter in a high mileage one.
This is exactly why we're looking to get rid of the BMW. It is just past the extended warranty, things are starting to pop up, and while it's a safe car with low miles, we don't want our daughter driving it when it starts having major issues. The mileage is still low for the age of the car, so it's time to trade while we can get the most out of it. We will never own another BMW after this experience. I'm on my second Honda, and I've never put more than general maintenance in either of them.

We're considering the Camry as well because of incentives offered at our local dealership on 2015's that they're trying to unload. It would be much less than an Accord, but closer in price to a Civic at the Honda dealership down the road from Toyota. We are still leaning toward the Civic, because it's a car we know. But the size of the Camry is more appealing for the same cost.
