I would like to know people's opinions of Bob Marley's and Pat O'Brien's at Citywalk. I'm thinking of getting a GC for one of them, as it looks like Margaritaville isn't going to go up before our trip. :( :( :(
I was happy to be able to get two Motown GCs last week, but now I'm realizing we'll only be there two nights and I really want to eat somewhere else. So what can you tell me about these two restaurants? Food, atmosphere and drinks? For anyone who has been to both, which did you prefer and why? TIA

I've been to them, but not as often as I have the others. Both do offer the chance to dine in an open air area or a covered area.

Bob Marley's has a very relaxed atmosphere. They have a live reggae band play, nightly, I believe. I had some of the jerk chicken and it had a big kick.

Pat O'Brien's has dueling pianos inside, and I think there's a cool looking fountain outside. I don't remember what I ordered, but it was good. Also a relaxing atmosphere.

Thanks, I think I'm leaning toward Pat O'Brien's, although they are giving 2 $25 GCs instead of one $50 :( But I read that someone was able to use them both at once with no problem; I guess I'll take the chance. Looks like we'll just get to do margaritaville for drinks :(

We only ate at Pattie O's once, and it was good. You will probably have no problem using both gift certificates at once with them. They are a pretty easy-going crowd. Also, if it's just adults, you can use your GCs just for your bar bill (which will add up quickly). We loved Pat's. There are 3 separate areas: the piano bar, the bar across from the piano bar, and the outside bar. All were pretty fun, but then we're a very easy-going 30-something couple with no kids. Not sure if there are other areas we missed, but this was our favorite hang-out.

We went to Pat O'Briens when we had the Grandparents babysitting. We were only in the bar having drinks. Is it a full service restaurant I can take my young kids to for dinner as well? And, if so, how early does the restaurant crowd die down and it turns into more of a bar/nightclub?

Might be worth mentioning if u have an AP kids eat free at Pats betwen sun-thurs 4pm-9pm we got a meal there for under $18 incl tip its pretty nice dining area outside kids are meant to be out by 9pm don't know if this is enforced as we left befor 9 as I knew this but at 9 pm we saw kids and family entering but couldn't confirm if they where allowed in:jester:
