City Walk

Ok, it's been a while since I've been to USF/IOA. We are flying down and spending 1 night at Royal Pacific. I'm not planning on going in to the parks on that first day b/c we arrive late afternoon but would like to go in to City Walk. Is there an admission charge for City Walk even if you are staying on property?

The bars have a cover charge, usually after 9pm. If you're in a bar before then, you'll be fine. If you want to barhop afterwards, you will be charged the cover unless you purchased a Citywalk Party Pass.

Entry to Citywalk is free, its the clubs that will charge you if you want in.

Thanks that makes total sense. I don't think we'll be partying too hard since we're going to try to cram in both parks the next day but thought that would be a cool place to go and walk around and have dinner.

We like to get our selves a seat on our first night along with a beer and just take in the atmosphere at Citywalk, plus they usually have a group playing on the stage as well

CityWalk is a lot of fun at night and by just walking around you will have a great time. There are plenty of shops and places to get a drink and relax a bit.

Im staying at Fairfield Inn and booked it through the universal site, it says we will get a city walk pass, i looked and royal pacific gives this pass to guests too, the description on the site says:

The Citywalk Party Pass will give access to all Citywalk clubs. The exception being that a club has a special event scheduled requiring an individual ticket to attend.

The Citywalk Party Pass is included in certain packages that are available. Booking a hotel room only reservation normally doesn't include the party pass.

Thanks we booked a package through universal which only consisted of the hotel and express passes, but they told me we would get the city walk pass too.
I checked the fairfield inn online and it was more there than it was booking with universal, we got it for $212 for 3 nights, it was over $300 on their site!

I thought so, haven't seen a better hotel only price, we are paying for the passes on top of that, but it saves around $150 on the hotel and for the weekend before thanksgiving, sounds good!

I don't know what day of the week you are going to CityWalk but Tues-Sun Rising Star has a live band and backup singers.

For what its worth a group of my karaoke junkies and I went there Friday. We had an absolute blast! Since its has backup singers and a sound guy - they take over when singers forget the melody etc - so no one sounds bad. I'm probably going back this Friday after BMG.

Even though its not advertised they take the CW party pass.
