City Walk rumor

I read on ScreamScape today that a Jekyll & Hyde Club may be coming to CityWalk and Universal Studios. Seems like they are going more towards and nighttime entertainment district while Disney is going away from one.

I would have a hard time not going to city walk if they opened a form of the adventurers club.

There's a Mexican restaurant under construction. This new rumor broke Friday about it really being a J&H Club. Doesn't mean that it is.

I said in the other thread, they seem to be making leap of logic based on the supposed architecture and not on anything else. Could just be a goth night club.

I have never been to The Adventurers Club, but I have been to Jekyl & Hyde in NYC a few times. The place is pretty cool, but it is pretty much decor. Yes it is cool and spooky like if you were inside the haunted mansion ride. But there isn't really that much of a show. Stuff on the walls talk to you and there are a few actors that roam around , but that's it.

It would be cool place to eat but I don't see it as a form of "night time entertainment ".

Incidentally, Screamscape backed off the rumor after getting more info that the former Mexican restaurant will be...a Mexican restaurant.

But, since a rumor cannot die, they say that the closure of Cigarz this month, plus a couple other small locations, might be just perfect for J&H...

Too bad in the new dtd plans no nightlife. Not saying to create a vegas scene but at least give some options for the older crowd to have fun

To put a nail in this coffin at least for a while...Universal Orlando made a big presentation about CityWalk...eight new/altered venues...no J&H CLub.

Coming are:

• Coldstone Creamery
• Cowfish burger/sushi bar
• Hot Dog Hall of Fame
• Antojitos (mexican restaurant, the place that sparked the rumor)
• Starbucks (moving downstairs)
• Menchies
• Pranzo (replaces Pastamore)
• Bread Box (sandwiches)
