city walk pick one

I find with a lot of theme restaurants they are cute once...Rainforest, hard rock, planet hollywood, etc....I like margaritaville, especially with kids...waiting for baloon-animal-guy-on-stilts keeps them busy. then the volcano eruption is another distaction. The served a decent burger and great nachos. I have eaten there before and would go back again.

We liked pastamore as well. I had some kind of pasta with goat cheese and pear that was awesome. Everyone seemed to enjoy their dishes as well. We were pleasantly surprised.

We ate in a Bubba Gumps at the Cancun Airport and wasn't that impressed so we didn't go there.

I have a question about both restaurants, we will have 3 kids with us ages 15, 13 and 10, so we will eat dinner around 6 or 7, but how loud is it in these places? I hate to go somewhere for dinner and the music be so loud you have to shout to talk to each other. Do you think the kids would like both places? My 15 yr son really likes classic rock, but he also thought Margaritaville looked fun too. My two nieces probably wouldn't care one way or other.

Margarittaville can get very loud but it didn't seem to bother my 2 DS's (16 and 12 ) it all depends on what you think loud is :lmao:

I vote Margaritaville - its a must do on ever vacation:cool1:

Here's a link to all the menus at US/IOA and Citywalk

Enjoy

Oh and my 2nd vote would be NBA City - they suprisingly have very good food:)

i suggest for those interested in city walk to check out their website:

http://www.universalorlando.com/citywalk.html

click on dining.

the menus listed for the places in CW are current here.

the ones listed on all ears are not current, some are dated and have been changed.

you can also get the times of their operations from the site.

I do love Hard Rock Cafe BUT I have one over here so I would probably choose Margarita Ville because it's one of a kind for me

big big mistake........!!

the one in orlando is the largest hrc in the world.

i have been to the hrc in chicago and hawaii besides the orlando one. (and others)

the other two are nothing like the one at city walk!

I'm not worried about how loud it is for my son, I'm worried about me!!! :headache:

when ever you have a popular restaurant, booze for sale, lots of vacationing tourists, any place can get loud.

it's either the background music or the people inside that make it loud.

Yep, very true! I think I'm just getting old and grouchy, I hate anything very loud!:rotfl:

So these Jamaica Mistaica Wings, are the skins crispy? I love wings, but I prefer the skins crispy. I looked over both restaurant's menus and I think I like Margaritaville's appetizers better (the nachos I've heard so much about and the wings sounds yummy too), but I think I prefer Hard Rock's main menu the best, so I'm a little torn over which to choose! :confused3 Son loves classic rock (actually we all do), but for some reason Margaritaville just sounds like more fun to me, and I do love my margaritas!

To be fair to Hard Rock Cafe, there's nothing like a good burger and fries:

And a malt to wash it all down:

i love the nachos better at hrc than a m'ville.

but, you can't go wrong with either place to eat.
both have certain foods that are spectacular.

hey patster, can you find the picture of mike/ aka/ adkar with the nachos?

you remember that pic of him at hrc?

i have been looking for it the last 20 minutes and can't find it.
wanted to show one of the homies here what it looked like compared to the nachos you showed.
