City Walk Bucks

We just got back from the Hard Rock using the Entertainment rate. Although we were not too impressed with the hotel, we did not see any dogs (6th floor garded room), the front of the line made it well worth it. When you consider that 2 express booklets for two parks cost $30 bucks each, that makes our rate of 134.00 a night a real bargain!!! Another great deal is City Walk Bucks. I really havn't read too much about these but we paid $100.00 dollars for $125.00 worth of City Walk bucks that are good for any store or restaurant on City Walk except for Emerils. They come in $5.00 bills. You cannot tip with them and cannot get any change for them but you can work around that with cash. I read about them on Trip Advisor and asked at Concierge about them. I don't know if you have to stay at Universal hotels to get them or not.

Thanks Jaynerita. I don't remember ever reading about City Walk bucks. I'll definitely keep them in mind when we go again next summer. We ate many a meal at City Walk and they would've come in handy!

Are you saying you purchased the City Walk bucks from the concierge? I guess then you can charge them to the room. Sounds like a great idea. Do they have an expiration date on them?

I have never heard of Citywalk bucks but I would definitely check into them on a future trip. Has anyone else ever used these?

I asked about them at the Hard Rock Concierge. I purchased a voucher for them there. I had to pick them up at the Service area at City walk which is located near the movie theaters. Perhaps you can buy them there as well but I don't know. They come in a booklet of five $5.00 City walk bucks. I spent mine with no difficulty and I never thought to see when and if they expired. A booklet of five $5.00 Bucks cost $20.00. They say you cannot combine them with any other coupons. I'm not sure if you would still get the AAA discount with them because I forgot all about it!!!
