We will be at WDW from 4/13-/4/20. We are considering taking off one afternoon and going to Universal City walk and seeing Blue Man group. Couple questions: would my nearly 3 yo son be able to see Spider-Man anywhere in City walk(he is obsessed)? Is City walk free? Is the blue man show worth it(have enough points on rewards card to buy tix)? What are travel options from DW as we won't have a car? How much time would we spend going back/forth? More than a couple questions, sorry.

No, I have not seen characters in City Walk. City Walk is free to walk around. Alot of people like the Blue Man Group, so would be fun to see. The restaurants are good in City Walk, and there is a fun Mini golf there too. If you do not have a car, most suggest Mears Transportation from WDW, or rent a car for the day, or most likely the most expensive is a taxi.

City Walk is a lot like Downtown Disney. Restaurants and stores. And, unlike Disney, nightclubs.

Universal is north of WDW, and on a not too traffic day, about 35 minutes or so up I4.

Been there three years running and booked again for this summer. Went to the Blue Man show the last two years and yes it's worth seeing. Amazing show. Each time booked the front row seat and was hit with the mashed bananas but we had the ponchos on. It truely is a great show. The special effects are out of this world. Saw it in Vegas last Feb and as far as I'm concerned the one in Orlando is still better.

Thanks for the info. If we can find decent rates on bus or rental car we will probably go.

I'll be there with my elderly mom in May and was thinking about taking her, but was unsure if a 79 y/o would enjoy it. Do very many older people go? Also I have an AP. Do they give an AP discount?

The Mears van costs about $19.00 per person round trip (adults, not sure about kids rates).

I'm 70 my daughter is 40 and my grand daughter was 18 and I think the show appeals to every age.

I will pass along something to you that someone passed along to me the other day. Right now Travel Zoo has Blue Man group tickets on sale 40% off. They are tier 2 seats and are $54 instead of $84.

When you go to Travel Zoo just do a search for Blue Man Group and then you will have to sign in using your email or Facebook before you can buy the tickets.

It sends you to the regular Blue Man group ticket purchase page but when you go to check out the discount is there.

The tier 2 seats aren't called Tier 2 seats when it is time to pick your seating section. To get the tier 2 seats you click on the drop down and skip the first 4 choices because those are the front row tickets and not the ones on sale. Pick from the one that says rows d through L or something like that and pick the center section.

The sale is good on shows through the first week of May.
