Sure this has been asked before...but I must not be using the right words for Search...

Anyway, for the tickets, it says you have to use the "Disney Land 3 Day Hopper" portion first...does this mean that all three days have to be used up before we could use the tickets for US or SeaWorld or the Zoo?

Off site guests, not using the tickets as part of a package..

Or can we do one day a DL, then a day at SeaWorld...back to DL, etc, etc.. tickets to be used within the 13 day window...

Thanks so much for your help!!

I have never heard of using the DLR tickets first. We used the CP a a few months ago and did Sea World first and had no issues at all.

But if they've changed it (and I still have my doubts), I'd highly doubt that you'd have to use all 3 days of the pass for DLR before using the ones for Sea World/St. Louis Zoo. I couldn't swear to that though. Maybe someone else would be more knowledgable about the City Passes.

In June we used 1 day at DL 1st then Knotts ,SW ,SDZ and back to DL .

I believe that if you buy the citypass through Disney, then you have to use at least one day of the DL hopper first, but then you have 13 days to use the other two days.

We used CP just last week. SW Fri, DL/CA Sat, UH Sun, DL Mon, CA Wed, WAP Thu. SW didn't even stamp it to start the two-week window (DL did).

I've never heard you have to use one ticket before the others. I read the fine print at Citypass.com and costco.com and neither state that. By the way, if you didnt already know, Costco.com sells them for $174.99, so about $25 less then the city pass site.

Again, it's a condition if you buy it through Disney. Not if you buy it through others.

Thanks everyone!:)

I went to my local Costco yesterday to purchase the California Citypass tickets. They are no longer available through their warehouses. You have to purchase them on-line, which means that you pay shipping costs and a service charge. Just another way for them to make more money!

I was at Costco here Friday and they had a bunch of them. It just opened up last week too. It might depend on where you live. I would ask at the front desk. All of the ones in the Phoenix area sell them though. (we go to a lot of Costco's here)

Disney used to require that you use a hopper first. I think they used to have vouchers that you would redeem when you first used the City Pass, but they've since changed it, so the Southern California City Pass has tix in it, so you can visit San Diego first, and then Anaheim, if you so wish. I believe you have two weeks to use the tickets, and you can use them in any order - that is, you do not have to use the DLR hoppers consecutively.

The fine print does say you have to use it at Disneyland first, but I called yesterday and talked to an actual person and told them I will be stopping at Universal Studios first and she said that's totally fine!

It is a little unnerving that it says you have to use it at DLR first -- not sure why they put that there if it's not true..... Can't imagine it would make any difference to DLR -- it's the same price (ie, no discount if you buy it from DLR) so I don't know why they would put a stipulation on it.

I called Costco's main office and spoke with Member Services. They said that the tickets were probably not available in Costco California warehouses anymore, but that I could still purchase them online. Which is okay, but they charge hefty shipping and handling.

Dear Dad, Mom and 2 Disney boys. I answered your posting in the wrong place. Just wanted to say that I called Costco's main office and they said that their Calif. warehouses no longer stock the Calif. City Pass, although of course I can still purchase them online - then of course I have to pay a wopping shipping and handling charge!

If you notice- I am from Arizona, so that is why I posted what I did. That is good to know about California. I wonder if they were running out of them because people would just buy them once they got there and were not planning ahead? :confused3

I dont think their shipping charges seem all that hefty, compared to the savings. On an adult ticket you are saving about $25. Shipping on one ticket is $9.78 for standard or $15.76 for express. You are still saving $10-15. If you buy four tickets you are saving about $100. Shipping is $11.36 for standard or $17.35 for 4. That is savings of more then $80 on four tickets even after you've paid for shipping.

You've given me food for thought. I did go through Costco's online checkout a while ago and at that time they were charging $6.00 "service charge" on the first ticket and something less on the others, plus of course the shipping/handling. I'll check on-line again.

I believe you only get a service charge if you are not a Costco member. I just put one in my cart and had no charge (the shipping was $10.53 to Chicago - still cheaper than the list price).

I just received my 5 tickets that we purchased from Costco online via UPS today!!!! We paid a total of 817.35 which saved us $97.65, the shipping was only $12.40.
