I am looking to buy this stroller and of course want to save some money. Do you know of a better price than $250? Thank you :goodvibes

I don't know the price, and I don't see it online, but someone just posted yesterday that Target was clearing out their City Minis at "an AWESOME price." If you have a Target near by it might be worth a stop.

Try your local craigslist. That's where I got mine for $125 and it was practically new

I may be wrong but I don't think that Target sells the City Mini. I think that they have the City Micro on clearance. It sounds like an awesome deal but it's a different model.

The city Micro was on clerance at my Target yesterday for 139.98. Honestly I didn't see much of a difference between the mini vs the micro.

I bought a City Micro that is a bright torqouise from AlbeeBaby.com for $99.00 with free shipping about 2 years ago. I just looked and they still have some for that price. I bought it for Disney trip in Sept 2011 and daughter turned 4 in October 2011. Disney is the only place that we use it. The differences that I have notices are the shades are smaller, which for me was a plus because she does not nap. It still folds up easily and small. My husbands only complaint has been that the handle is not wide enough, not a problem for me.

Anybody know if there is much difference between the basket sizes on the mini and the micro?

Look at the britax b-agile. It's the same thing. We were able to get the double britax cheaper than the baby jogger.

The micro at target is more like the city mini, not the original micro. It has smaller wheels, but overall the same. Bigger canopy than the original micro.

I can't remember the difference in specs between the micro and the mini, but when we were looking at those two strollers in September, my and DH's personal impression was that the micro at Target just felt more rickety/cheap and a lot less smooth to operate than the mini. Again, that is a very personal opinion, and I'm sure others are perfectly happy with it. But in a side-to-side comparision, we simply felt the Micro wasn't as good and that the extra cost for the Mini would be worth it.

Babies r us has the black and black/grey on sale now for $199.99 with free shipping. It is also listed on ebay for this same price. This is the 2012 model. Albee baby has some of the 2011 models for around $190.00. I have the double and LOVE it! I think I will be ordering the 2012 today. Hope this helps!

Baby Jogger has a pricing structure for the City Mini like Apple has for their products. If you want a new model, it will be $250. The only way to get a better price is to get a previous years model. There are a few differences with current models and previous year models (which would be on sale).
The main differences (as far as I can remember) which were added to 2012 models:
- The new models have a larger and more accessible basket underneath. The design was changed so that the scooped bar in the back was moved down lower and they made the basket bigger overall.
- New models have a lock so that it stays locked when folded

ETA: discontinued colors would be cheaper than $250 too

Any idea when the 2013 mine come out? I would love to get the 2012 model on sale :)

Not sure if there are any changes between 2012 and 2013. But, I ordered my 2012 model in April and I'm pretty sure at that point it had only been available for a month or so.

While I was looking for my order on Amazon I did notice that they are doing a promo:

Spend $250 on Qualifying Nursery Items and Get a $50 Promotional Code to Use in the Baby Store
For a limited time, purchase $250 of qualifying nursery items shipped and sold by Amazon.com and listed below and receive a $50 promotional code via email approximately 32 days after the shipment date of your items. The $250 of qualifying items must be purchased in a single order and only one promotional code will be given per customer. Your promotional code may be used on qualifying items in the Baby Store shipped and sold by Amazon.com (certain exclusions apply including, but not limited to, disposable diapers, wipes, disposable training pants, skin care, preschool toys, formula and baby food). This promotion does not apply to products sold by third-party merchants and other sellers through the Amazon.com site. Here's how (restrictions apply)."

Not sure if that would help or not, but you could get the stroller and some small item so the total was over $250, then you'd get the $50 promo code (which has a bunch of restrictions).

Someone posted on another thread that there would not be any changes to the 2013 model so I don't know if they will have the 2012 on sale or not :confused3 I ordered mine this morning from babies r us ebay store for $199 shipped and it is the 2012 model. I looked back and the ebay store and website are now showing $250. Guess it was the end of the sale? There are lots of deals on ebay and if you aren't in a hurry you could wait for another sale. I did see one in the Orlando area craiglist (2012 model) for $150 so that might be worth checking out. Good luck!
