Citrocos or Narcossee?

We are hopefully doing dxdp in July with the kids- we did it last year but only for 4 days this would be 7 I had several meals planned and then I kept reading such great reviews of these two. We want to see different resorts so I can not do both so I need to pick. We ate Cali Grill a few years ago- loved it very memorable, last year we ate at Flying Fish and it was very good but IMHO not as good as Cali Grill. We will be taking the kids 2,6, and 8 and they are used to eating out so hopefully they will behave- they love steak, seafood so either would be fine- regardless of kids meals they will end up eating our food . The sides at Citrocos sound really good (risotto, polenta) but the proteins (lobster) sound better at Nacossees. We are doing dxdp so I would get a cheese plate at either if that helps and probably creme brulee

If these are not great for kids would Yachtsman be better for kids? We are doing that while the older 2 are at the kids club so we could switch. We will still take the baby (he is actually the best of the 3 anyway )

Help me decide- please tell me what was best about each.

With kids I think Narcoossee's would be better.
Citrico's is much the better restaurant, but Narcoossee's a bit less "adult" more noisy , plus the fireworks are easily viewed--entertainment for the kids.

my granddaughter starting at the age of 4 has been to both and did great. i'd say pick by the menu

It depends on your children. Narcoosees is more casual, a little noisier, has great views out at the water/boats.

Citricos is more formal, very quiet, no views.

While you are perfectly fine taking your children to either, your children might enjoy one more over the other.

I think Yachtsman is more kid friendly than Citricos but not as kid friendly as Narcoosees.

With kids, I agree, Narcoossee's is probably the better option. We've eaten at both in the last couple months and had great experiences each time.

I have pics and full reviews of both Citricos and Narcoossees in my Nov 10 thread. Citricos is so much better, we liked appies and dessert at Narcoossee's but not the entrees.

My vote is with Narcoossee's - Especially if anyone in your party wants lobster. Its (I believe) the only place on property that serves it.

We ate at Narcoosee's last year with our young kids (3 and 6) and we were also on the DxDP and found it to be a good place to go with them for several reasons: 1) the service towards the kids was very good, for example, little details, like bringing them Mickey-shaped straws; 2) the atmosphere was also very relaxed and casual; 3) the food choices for the kids were very good. I really enjoyed my entree, it was one of my favorites for the week (and being 8 nights on DxDP, we ate at different places). I had the crispy whole snapper and it was really wonderful. I understand some of the entrees here are not as strong, and our apps were just OK, so it does pay to do a little research. HTH!

i've been thinking about trying narcoose's on our next trip, but i always assumed it was a more formal place, like citricos...it's actually pretty casual? what kind of attire?
