Citricos Vs California Grill

Im debating doing a dinner reservation and can't chose either Citricos or California Grill. I have never eaten at Citricos nor California Grill since the remodel. As of right now it will be a solo dinner. Which do you all recommend?

If you are on the delux plan and get the apps included, I'd say Cali Grill no question. The sushi is worth the price of admission alone. Getting a fireworks viewing is even better. Citricose is a strong second, and definitely both rank over any other bay-lake restaurants. Other 2 credit restaurants to consider - Yachtsman is also a great steakhouse, not just for Disney, but in general.

I like both. I'm not a solo diner so not sure what variables you are weighing. Food is comparable unless you want sushi, then CG wins. Service is hit or miss at both.

View is unquestionably better at CG. Almost no view at Citricos. You can eat at bar at either if that's of interest. Citricos is more relaxed, while CG is always a bit active. Fun, but more buzz.

Citricos, though, allows the opportunity to go early and catch some of the orchestra or pianist in the lobby before heading in to dinner. I happen to love that, and I like to do it with a cocktail from the always friendly Citricos bartenders.

I don't think you can make a wrong choice.

Were it me I'd eat at the bar in Citricos.

Most likely there will be a seat there (as opposed to the CG where you take a chance the later it is).

Can u take drinks from the bar?

I am almost certain you can carry a drink from the CG bar out to the deck.

Never done it or seen anyone do it at Citricos bar, so I am not sure.

Citrico's is my favorite. Love the Sushi at CG, but love every single thing at Citrico's. For me it is truly fine dining!

The menu here changes often, is always innovative, and we think, delicious!!!

Hands down - Citricos! Eaten there 5+ times and it's our favorite on property.

Cali Grill - we've eaten there 4 times, 1 meal was awful, 1 was mediocre, the other 2 were good. So they're only hitting 50/50 for us.

Gonna discent from some of the other and say California Grill. First the ambiance, overlooking MK, is unparalleled but their food is absolutely delicious. From flatbreads to sushi and steak to seafood we've enjoyed all of our 10 or so trips to CG. We've only done Citricos three times and it is good, but for me the food just wasn't on the same culinary level as CG or most of the other signatures. Not bad by any means just nothing spectacular.

Throwing a curve ball you may also want to consider Narcoossee's. It would be a sophies choice for me to pick it or CG.

Can u take drinks from the bar?

Yes, you can get a drink at Citricos bar and drink it in the lobby or outside. Bartenders are super helpful.

CG drinks can go with you onto the observation decks.

I would go to California Grille. I've been to both multiple times and enjoy both, but for ambience alone, I would pick Cali Grille. There is just nothing like being whisked up to the restaurant and then seeing that expansive view of MK from the windows. And the food is good too!
