Citricos very disappointing

Had dinner there last Tuesday, had the pork chop which was one of their signature meals. It was tough. Our server over charged us for to drinks, when we noted to her she never said she was sorry. Never again.
 
Our first trip and first experience with signature dining was at citricos was not a good one, needless to say we have never been back to eat there. It was our last night, we needed to use up credits. I had not researched any signature places because I didn't think we would be able to fit one in, the resort staff got us the reservation so we thought why not...
What killed it for us was our server, he was horrible. He was one of the worst wait staff we have ever had at any Disney restaurant. He only communicated with us to take our order and acted like it was a burden to serve us at all. At first I thought it was because we had a kids with us (5 & 15) but there were children everywhere.. its Disney! I noticed other wait staff interacting and friendly with the other people dining. The food was ok, but I have certainly had better at other signature places. When it came time for us to include the tip...we didn't stiff him but, the certainly did give him the recommended amount. We've joked about that meal for years now and Ive thought about trying it again but it was such a bad experience and let down, we can't bring ourselves to do it. Especially when there are other signature restaurants we LOVE.
 
Exactly was our experience, so many great places will not spend 100+ there again. Poor food, not well trained staff, kind of get ignored. Now I know why it was easy to get a ressie, plus it was only have filled at 8:00
 
So sorry to hear about all your experiences! Citricos is my DH's favorite signature, granted we've only been there twice but are going back again later this month. I do really enjoy it, also. Our server from our first visit actually remembered us when we went back 8 months later and he was fantastic. All food from apps to deserts were perfection. However we've had less than stellar experiences at other Disney restaurants, including a VERY popular signature that many people adore, so I realize ones favorites can't be everyone's. But again I'm sorry you didn't enjoy Citricos.

Why should she be sorry? she isn't responsible for the kitchen too many people want to blame the servers try blaming who is responsible.
 
We went to Citricos a few years ago and were not impressed with it either. It's been out least favorite signature restaurant at Disney. The portion sizes of the dinners were quite small and the staff was not friendly at all. Very unwelcoming. I wouldn't say they were rude, but they were nowhere near as friendly as many other places in Disney. The experience wasn't terrible, but there are too many places where we have had great experiences to risk going back there. We just didn't find it worth the money. Maybe someday we will give it another try.

I was not unhappy that she did not say she was sorry about the food, but did not say she was sorry about the overcharge for the drinks. I know she is not responsible for the preparation of the food but she should have notified management. Ansky you phrased is correct the staff is not a friendly as other signature restaurants
 
Is there a reason you didn't request an edible pork chop? ALlso, genuinely just curious how you were overcharged for drinks. Double charged? Charged for wrong drinks!

Second the pork chop was edible but tough, if I had requested a second one my guest would be sitting their watching me eat. She charged us for a double round.
 
We had a few trips in a row with bad meals here years ago and have not been back. Honestly, we find all of the dining at the GF to be underwhelming. We do a ton of TS dining-usually 2 and sometimes 3 meals a day for 10-14 day long trips every year and have not set foot in GF for many of those trips.
