Citrico's or Ohana's night of MVMCP

Hi:

We are visiting WDW from Dec 12th - 17th.
I'm with older kids and adults. Our first day (12/12) we are visiting MK in the morning, taking an afternoon rest/nap and returning for the party.

We love to eat at table service restaurants.

Can anyone suggest a nice dining experience that won't take too long? We also thought about Chef Mickey but character dining isn't a must.

Should we skip the sit-down and just eat a counter style meal? We're not doing the dining plan.

Have you considered one of the TS places inside MK - like the Plaza or CP? We thought about eating TS outside of MK the night of MVMCP but we want to make the first showing of Twas the Night Before Christmas and I didn't think we'd make it in from dinner at 'Ohana or Kona on time. I have little kids and am not thinking we'll make it to the second parade, etc. If you can stay late, this may not be a concern for you. We're eating at the Plaza.

If you don't want to try somewhere inside MK such as Crystal Palace or Liberty tree tavern, I would go with Ohana's. I think since Citricos is a signature, it might take a bit longer and they probably don't rush the experience. If you tell your server at Ohana, they may be able to speed it up for you, but I would try something in the park before considering a resort.

I would do Citricos in a heartbeat. There is no comparison when it comes quality. If you want to get over to the MK, perhaps just order entrees. Citricos opens at 5:30. Doing one course, you could easily be on your way by 6:30.

Or save Citricos for an evening when you're not planning to spend much time in a park and follow the suggestions about getting a reservation in an MK restaurant for dinner your first night.
