For those that have been to both, which is your first choice? And what was yummy and made you want to go back?

if you want lobster, go to Narcoosee's...also good for water view (and theme park view if you're going at fireworks time.) But somehow, it was just good, not great.

The lobster was good at Narcoosee's, but in general we liked the food at Citrico's better.

I think we'd go back to Citrico's before we'd go back to Narcoosee's.

I've been to both and hope to go back to Citricos for better service and atmosphere.

Citricos has much better food, better service, and a better atmosphere. It's my favorite signature and truly outstanding in every way.

Narcoossee's was just ok and not worth the signature prices.

We do like the filet medallions/lobster and the almond crusted cheesecake at Narcoosee, but overall Citrico has better food.

Almond cheese cake is really good at Narcossees. We tried the surf and turf twice and both times it wasn't that great.

We much prefered the food and service at Citricos.

I think they are two prety different places.

Citricos seems more upscale in food and atmosphere. Seems more "adult" to me...although my two kids love it too. There is not much to look at outside, well except the beautiful Grand Floridian grounds. The room seems brighter and has a whole different vibe...a clean more upscale design.

Narcoossees feels more laid back for me. It has a warmer more family feel, while still being a signature. The view is really nice even if you are not there during Wishes or the Water Parade. It is a bit darker in there and they ise lots of woods in the decor. We have had more personable waitstaff at Narcoossees than at Citricos...not to say Citricos was subpar wait staff...both were great, just different.

We actually love them both. We have been to Narcoossees more often. If we had to choose one (but we ar going as a family not a couple) we would probably pick Narcoossees but I could not tell you why. If I was going for a romantic adult dinner, I might go Citricos...

I know, I did not help much did I?!?!?!

:rotfl2:

Enjoy them both. They are both must dos for our trips. We will probably do one of them twice, but I am having trouble deciding which. I think it will be Citricos, but I know either way, we will have a great time.

Definitley Narcoosee's. Citrico's is on DH and I's never again list (reason: I did not like my dinner at all, it was some kind of pork I can't recall exact name. DH's meal was not cooked all the way through and tiny portion). Narcoosee's I had the surf and turf meal of filet and lobster. Loved it. The atmosphere is just really nice I think. I can't remember what DH ate but he is very picky about the quality of his food and he likes it there.

I've been to Narcoossee's four times and Citricos once. My favorite is Narcoossee's. The food and service were excellent. I had the calamari (very tender), lobster (perfectly cooked), and chocolate mousse (yum!). The surf and turf, crab cakes, and almond cheesecake were also very popular in our group. Our server was very attentive and offered excellent suggestions. It was a lot of fun watching Wishes and the Electrical Water Pageant from the restaurant and veranda.

Citricos was okay. I'm willing to give it another chance because the night we went they were having all sorts of problems. It's very popular here on Disboards, so it must be better than when we went. We weren't seated until 45 minutes after our ADR (after arriving 15-minutes early for our ADR) and the wait staff and kitchen were out of sync (server cleared dishes, next course didn't arrive for twenty minutes, one entree arrived cold). The food was pretty good (I don't really remember it all that well) and the server was nice.

Both restaurants had an upscale feel to me. We tend to have late dinner (around 7:30 to 8:00 pm ADRs). There were a lot more children at Citricos than Narcoossee's on the night we went to Citricos.

Definitely Citricos. Other than the location I was not impressed with Narcoosee's.

As far as food, I think the grouper at Citricos is outstanding.
