I am starting with Citrico's as in my mind and the rest of my party it was the No. 1 restaurant during our trip this past week. Incredible service, I am not certain exactly how to spell our server's name, I should have taken notes, Nahim or something that sounds like that, he could not have done more for our table unless he sat and spoonfed us himself. LOL He actually recognized our family from over a year ago..... Bravo to him for making this a wonderful dining experience for our family......Cocktails, some of us had wine, and two of us had Citrico's bellinis, now onto the food....a spectacular event:
I started with the Arancini, risotto shaped into a ball, sort of, crispy on the outside with sausage and cheese, absolutely indescribable.. I am Italian and have had this before but nothing like this one. I had the tile fish served over pasta, very good....maybe a little bland for my taste but still very good..
My husband had the shrimp appetizer served over pasta.....said it was the best shrimp he has ever had....this from a man who lives on Cape Cod. He also had scallops as his main meal and said they were incredible... From the menu on the Dis, it seems there have been some changes and I will report that to those who do content on the Dis..
One daughter had Duck confit, we have been home for days and she is still raving about it. I cannot for the life of me remember what it was served with, the other daughter had the pork served with polenta and claimed it was the best pork, the other white meat, she had ever tasted. (so much for all those roasted pork dinners I made on Sundays, must have been the polenta that made it so good
We had a friend who joined us for dinner and she had the braised veal shank, which she said was so tender she just touched it with her fork and it fell off the bone. She claimed the taste was indescribable so of course we all had a taste and agreed it was excellent.
Desserts, we all shared and we were seated near the pastry chef so everytime he made a new one he would show us and tell us what it was.....he entertained us during the meal and we knew exactly what to order when it came time. Lemon cheesecake...light and just enough lemon but not enough to make it tangy... incredible...Another had tropical fruit brulee, yummy and if you like creme brulee, this is for you. The last was a chocolate dessert, mine, I wish I could remember more about it, it did have a crown, which we all posed with for pictures, until it broke and started to melt....that was decadent... French press coffee, and one daughter had a speciality coffee, and it was a meal fit for royalty..
Bravo Citrico's, you never disappoint this family and we are grateful to have the opportunity to fine dine with you when we visit..
