Ok....I have been searching and searching for a good ressie for Thanksgiving night and found Citricos @ 8:45 pm. I snagged it but am wondering if it's too late and if service would just be so/so due to the time. Anyone have any experience w/ later ressies?

What is the composition of your group? Adults and teens? I'd keep it. Traveling with a 4 year old? Maybe not. Will you have been up since the crack of dawn for a RD that day? Are you planning on getting up at the crack of dawn the next day for a RD? What time do you usually eat dinner? Are you changing time zones for your trip such that 8:45 isn't really 8:45 as far as your stomach is concerned? (Not sure where in KY you are.) If you punt this reservation, what are your other options? These are all considerations that I would weigh.

Hi...We are 2 adults and 3 teens. No way we are getting up at the crack of dawn that day. I actually do have a reservation for Boma that night at 7:30 but was thinking of scratching that one. With the time delay it would actually be a 7:45 reservation for us. I was mainly just wondering if the service would suffer that late.

Keep it. Citricos is one of the 5 best Disney restaurants. Way ahead of Boma. It's a special day, so keep the special ADR. Service will not suffer, and all of your other factors favor a nice experience.

Thanks so much :). I know it sounds silly I was just looking for validation from someone. :dance3:

For us that would be way too late for dinner. YMMV :)

Keep in mind too that most places will have special menus that day and may or may not have as varied a menu as usual

(and citrico's is on my never again list :sad2:)

Ok...I have to know :).....why is it on your never again list??

Can't speak for the PP, but Citricos is the one restaurant we have found that most overshoots and underdelivers. They have a very ambitious menu and a very pretentious wait staff and they can fail to deliver on their promise. Food was fine, but not outstanding, and our waitress was downright rude to DD17 (who probably has much more dining experience).

Also, Citricos traditionally has NOT served their full menu on Thanksgiving. Here is their 2010 offering:

Citircos Thanksgiving Menu Regular menu will not be offered.
Holiday entrée being offered only. For Appetizer Sampler: Gâteau of Crab, Warm Onion Tart, Orange Fennel Cream and Tomato-Fennel Slaw. For Salad: Salad of Romaine Lettuce. For Entrées (Choice): Traditional Oven-roasted Turkey, Berkshire Pork Tenderloin, Seasonal White Fish, Boneless Short Ribs, Filet of Beef, or Seared Tofu. For Dessert (Choice): Pumpkin Cheesecake, Bittersweet Chocolate Mousse, Sugar Dough Apple Tart or Pecan Tart. Children's Menu Appetizer (Choice): Chicken Noodle Soup or Romaine Salad with Ranch Dressing. For Entrée (Choice): Roast Turkey, Mickey Pasta and Cheese, Pan-seared Fish, or Grilled Filet of Beef. For Dessert (Choice): Create your own Ice Cream Sundae, Fresh Fruit, or Dalmatian Éclair.
