Citibank Visa Debit Card - US Dollar Current Account

Has anyone used the above card whilst in Orlando?

I've just had problems trying to order some tickets on the phone from Universal Orlando as their system didn't recognise the security code, so they suggested I try another card that is American based.

This got me panicking that we won't be able to use the card in WDW / Universal when we arrive, and we have dollars specifically on the account for this.

might be flagged as fraud as its unusual actvity, give them a call

we had the same problem with dh CC when we purchased something online and havent used it in around 6 months, just had to call them to explain it was us using it

Citibank said that they had auth'd the transaction, it was the merchant (Universal) that hadn't accepted it.
Universal did acknowledge that it's an issue with their system and UK cards that IT are working on, but I just wanted to know if other people have managed to use the cards okay once there?

Hi - yes, we have used our Citibank card a lot in the US without any difficulty, although I don't think specifically at Universal. I'm sure you will be fine - but make sure you remember your pin number in the event there is a one off problem and you need to withdraw cash - we forgot to take our pin the first time we went - doh.

Do you only need your pin for cash machines?
If you were paying on your card in the shops then you just sign?
Did you use your card in WDW Kristie? As long as it works there we'll be fine, as that is where we will be spending the majority of our time!!
