I'm looking at stroller rentals and found a good deal on a Citi mini jogger. My DS is 4, he's 42" and maybe 45lbs...I know I should know for sure, I just don't at this moment.

My question is will the citi mini be enough of a stroller for us? It goes to 50 lbs. Is it going to be impossible to push?

I've never used the citi minis and I'd rather not have to pay double to rent something sturdier if I don't have to.

We have a City Mini and love the thing. It turns like a dream. Our son is a baby, so we haven't hit the higher weights yet but have heard that it still does great with bigger kids. :)

It'll be ok. My son was in his until he hit the 50lb mark (slightly over even). It wasn't as easy to push as when he was a baby, but probably still easier than most strollers out there.

My son was taller and the canopy did brush over his head once he got bigger (don't remember exact size, sorry) but it just brushed when putting it up or down, it didn't bother him once it was in place (either way). Also couldn't rest anything on the canopy because it touched his head.

Also, you really can't beat the fold of the citi mini!

We rented the City Mini GT which could hold up to 65 pounds. We used it last week - my son is 45 inches and 45 pounds and he fit. He looked huge in it - his legs hung down if he didn't put them on the footrest. But he napped in it 4 days and we could put the shade down and he had room for his head. I would look into the City GT since he would definitely not fit into something any smaller. We rented from Orlando stroller but Kingdom has the same GT too. And it didn't feel heavy to push either.

Love Love Love our City Mini! We will be bringing ours along for our little peanuts to take turns on. My oldest is almost 5 and about the same size. She still fits very well and is very comfortable in it.

We have a City Mini as our regular stroller at home and have brought it twice to Disney. We LOVE it. It's funny because most rentals are the exact stroller, so make sure you mark it with a tag or something because once it's parked it will be just one in a million. But yes, best stroller and yes big enough for your son!

We have a City Mini GT and love it. Maneuverability is excellent. Very sturdy. Was trying to decide what to do stroller-wise for our early 2016 trip and was like why wouldn't I bring it? I LOVE it.

The City Mini, while made by the brand Baby Jogger is not actually a jogging stroller so it doesn't have huge honking wheels like some joggers do. So easy to turn and the handle is comfy. The GT is not a jogger either but has heavier duty wheels and is still SO EASY to fold up. Decent storage in the bottom but the opening is a little small. But my DD is still an infant so we bring everything with us everywhere.

I can't help with the sizing since my DD is still a baby but I had to share how much I'm in love with my GT.

I own the gt double which I love. Dc are 4 and 2.5 now. I have rented the single city mini and find it harder to push than the double gt. I would say rent the gt.

My 3 year old is 40 pounds and it still is super easy. We actually purchased one when she turned 1, after using a different jogger with our first two kids. We had rented a double Citimini on her first trip to WDW and it blew us away. It really is fabulous! My 5 year old at the time (he was super tall for his age), fit comfortably in it, too. (This was in the double, which held up to 100 pounds.)
