Well - we finally broke down. Every year we visit our favorite place, WDW of course, we vow to do Cirque. Every year - we don't. However, we're leaving in 3 days and guess what? Finally broke down and have ressies next Saturday, 7/10.

Is the show worth the $$$$? Give me any and all opinions.

I think it's worth the price. I think everyone ought to see it at least once. I saw it for the first time last June with a friend and my DGD8. My DGD fell asleep during the show but I think that's only because we went to the late show and she'd had a big day and wouldn't take a nap. My friend and I loved it. Saw it again in February with my 80yo father and he loved it too. Since I've seen it twice now, I don't feel the need to see it again unless someone else buys ME a ticket this time.;)

in one very simple word YES!!!!!!! ::yes:: ::yes::

We finally decided to go see it, after going back & forth if it was worth it....I have to tell you we were NOT disappointed one bit. We felt it was very worth the money & said the next time we go to WDW, we will have to make a point to see it again!

I even took my 4 y.o. to it & he had a wonderful time & still talks about it!!!!

I am sure you will love it!!!
ENJOY!

We've seen it twice.....and are going again this trip. We think it's an excellent show and worth the money.

the first time I bought tickets for Cirque my husband nearly had a stroke. He could not believe I had paid that much for tickets. I think I bought the best seats they had.

the whole time until the show he was complaining about all of the money for this. He usually is not like this and it surprised me. Anyway we went into the show, it was the first show. When we came out he loved it so much he wanted to go right then and there and buy tickets to go back in for the next show.

Yes it is worth evey penny. It is truly amazing and you really need to go a second time to catch everthing that is going on.

Worth every penny!! I have gone 6 times and have tix for the 7th! I adore it!! DH enjoys it as much as I do! I'd say, go for it!!!!!

I haven't seen the show at WDW, but if it's like the Cirque (Mystere) in Vegas you will love it.

Yes, worth every penny it cost and then some!

My husband has always loved Cirque du Soleil and I suprised him with tickets to see the show at our 1st trip to WDW.

We all very much enjoyed the show and we had good seats as to where the preshow went right past us and it was terrific.

You will love it !!:sunny:

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that show! We've seen it twice, and both times I was absolutely mesmerized! My DD, who was 5 the first time and 6 the second, spent the remainder of both trips asking when we could see the "circus" again. It is an experience not to be missed!

I just saw the one in Vegas ("O") and absolutely loved it, and the tickets were $149 each, well worth the value - believe it or not, I would have paid twice the amount!
I came home from that trip and vowed to see as many of the CDS shows as I possibly could. I absolutely could not believe how fantastic the show was as well as how amazing the show grasped my attention. I found that I always had the most fascinating displays to look at and the artistry was phenomenal.
I am going on Tuesday to go see the Quidam show, and on August 27, I am going to see La Nouba.
I became a member of their club and follow their shows. I cannot wait to see the shows I have lined up!
Go and see it - you will not regret it!

My 13 yo DS looked at me and said "this is the best thing I've ever seen in my life." This is after having taken him to several Broadway shows & doing some other cool stuff.

We liked it so much we're taking his grandparents to see Alegria in Philly in two weeks.

You'll really enjoy the show - have a blast!!!

It is defintely well worth it. I cant wait to see other shows, and really want to see the Las Vegas one as well. Even my 2 yr old son liked it. He cant sit still for 5 minutes, and my dad was betting on how soon wed have to take him out of there. Well he never budged in his seat!

Any thoughts as to which category of tickets to buy? Is it worth the extra money to buy the more expensive tickets, or are the less expensive tickets just as good of a view? I noticed on the seating chart that there are some seats that are way off to the side and it looks like you really couldn't see much from there. For those of you that have gone to Cirque in Disney, which seats did you have and how was your view? Trying to convince DBF to splurge. I am such an artsy person and I am a dancer and when the different versions come on TV I am always mesmerized. It's so interesting!

Thanks :teeth:

SRUAlmn, when you go to La Nouba be sure to watch the ballerina (as I'm sure you will)! I'm a dancer, too, and she just amazes me! She is one of the best dancers I've seen at making everything look so effortless. There is one point in the show where there is an aerial act going on above the stage, and she is dancing below, and both times I've seen it, I've missed the entire aerial act because I can't take my eyes off her!

As for tickets, I've heard all the seats are good, so I don't think it matters much. Some people prefer the Cat. 2 seats because they are farther away from the stage so it's easier to see the aerial acts. I like the seats closer to the stage because it feels more intimate to me. However, like I said, I think they are all good seats.

We're planning a short trip to WDW in September. Where would I purchase tickets to Cirque ahead of time?

I just got my tickets in the mail! Santa is leaving them under the tree Christmas morning for the last show that day. I'm sure my husband will have absolutely "nothing" (silent treatment) to say when he see the bill! Just trying to make new memories! Sounds like this will definitely be a good way to spend Christmas Day. Now, if I can only decide where to have our Christmas meal that day and which park to spend the rest of the day.

Cirque price increase
Prices have increased at Cirque du Soleil: La Nouba. New adult ticket prices are $85, $73, and $59 for Category 1, 2, and 3, respectively. Prices for children 3-9 years old are now $59, $49, and $39 for the same categories. Prices do not include tax.

Thanks for the response. It's so expensive to go to any of the other Cirque shows anywhere else that I would hate to miss the opportunity to see La Nouba and not have to pay $200 a ticket. When I go to theatre shows I always like to sit in the first row of the balcony. I like to be able to see the whole stage, and I have pretty good eyes so I can still see the intricate footwork of the dancers ;) I'll have to go check out the seating chart again and see what I can find. Thanks again!
