Hi Guys, have you been to the Cirque, is it worth the $230 (£142)for me, DW, DD8 & DS6. I have read here that it is a great show, but $230 for 90 mins! We haven't been to Orlando before so we're trying to see & do most things, I'm not being tight (careful with money) but if you think it's worth the money then we'll go. (The kids will have to go to the workhouse to pay for it but hey, no pain etc).
;)

All of the cirque shows in the U.S. are great. I have seen serveral. However there is plenty to do in WDW. since you have never been to Orlando you may find yourself not wanting to leave the parks to make the show. Also maybe you could check the kids into one of the onsite child care centers and just have an adult night at Cirque.

Yes...it sounds expensive but it really is worth it. I recently saw"O" in Vegas and whilst I enjoyed it, I thought the Orlando show was better...the ticket prices in Vegas?...$ 125 each, so Orlando is a real bargain :)

You can take a look at Cirque (DVD, shows on Bravo, mini-series on Bravo) and see if you think you'll like it.

It's your first trip to Disney, how long are you staying? For a 1 week stay I don't think you'll want to spend the time and money.

We went last year with our 9 year old daughter and 11 year old son. I was not really looking forward to it but went because everyone else wanted to go. We all had a great time and have been talking about it ever since. It is a fabulous show like nothing you have seen before. We are going again this year. There isn't a bad seat in the place great views from wherever you sit. We loved it.

We also were concerned about the cost when we saw La Nouba several years ago, especially since seeing Cirque on TV hadn't been all that impressive. There is just no substitute for seeing this show live. We became true fans and have since also seen Mystere, Dralion, and Varekai, as well as the IMAX movie Journey of Man. If you have never seen Cirque live and this is your only chance then do not pass it up. All of their shows are life-affirming and inspirational. We always leave in awe of what the human body can do. :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

My Dad and I went to see it on our trip in December (I had already seen it on previous trips). He liked it so much that we went to see it again the next night!

I seem to be the lone dissenter - DH and I saw Varekai in Atlanta and neither of us thought it was worth what we paid. The couple we were with could not get enough of it - they had been to several shows and just loved it. If it were my first time to WDW, I would probably skip it - especially with the ages of your kids - there will be so much else to do. Save the money and spend it on something else.

Yes, it is worth it! Go and have a great time!

Cirque it is then! Just one more question though, are the category 1 seats worth the extra? I read "there isn't a bad seat in the house". Seating Plan.

Hi Gingernick:

I agree with what others have said - there is not a bad seat in the house. Section 102/104 would provide great veiwing - as would section 206 and 202.

I personally don't think paying the extra will provide any more of an advantage to seeing the show since so much of it happens above the stage :D

Enjoy!
