"Cirque du Soleil has reached an agreement with Oriental Land Co, Ltd. and The Walt Disney Company to open a permanent theatre within Tokyo Disney Resort for Cirque. This will be our first permanent theatre and show in Japan and its first permanent venture outside North America. Cirque will develop an original show exclusively for this theatre, adding an exciting new entertainment component to Tokyo Disney Resort.
Oriental Land Company had been examining the possibility of installing a theatre to offer Guests a new and appealing way to enjoy Tokyo Disney Resort. Believing that in the theatre business the content of the shows is of the utmost significance, Oriental Land Company, with the help of The Walt Disney Company, successfully reached an agreement with Cirque du Soleil.
Cirque du Soleil is proceeding with the development of an original show which is scheduled to premiere in 2008."
The theatre will have a capacity of 2000 seats. Not sure how that compares with the one at DTD.
