Cirque du Soleil or Blue Man Group??

Trying to decide which to purchase tickets for: Cirque du Soleil or Blue Man Group. I've heard great things about both. Most of our time will be spent at WDW, but we will have a couple days at Universal. Any suggestions or preferences?

Boy, that is a tough decision to make. I have seen both and they are equally
good and entertaining. If children are going too, I would vote for Cirque. But, as I said, both are such fun!!

I have to agree, that is very tough. The Cirque show is great and the girls with the spindels are unbelievable. That being said, and just my opinion, I would go with Blue Man group. Their show was amazing and like nothing I have ever seen. I do recommend both highly so have a great time whatever you choose.

Both are fantastic! Who is going and what are their ages? Boys and men, in general, will prefer Blue Man Group.

I have seen both and would vote for cirque (& hope they are having an 'on' day). I had one meh experience there but one that was out of this world amazing. I liked blue man group, but it was more 'cool' than 'extraordinary'

both are fantastic, but imho.....
everyone should see no less than one cirque show in their lifetime

i would put BMG more on the level of one's 3rd or 4th cirque show - still amazing entertainment, but missing a bit of that unforgettable, jaw-dropping, WOW!!! factor.

whichever you choose, definitely try to see the other eventually.

My vote goes to the answer of this question:

Which one would you most likely NOT be able to see at home?

The reason I ask is that Cirque generally travels the US and I know that where I live I can readily see either one. Blue Man Group has a semi-permanent home in Boston so we can buy tickets pretty much anytime. Cirque on the other hand comes around once in awhile but then it depends on which Cirque show it is, are we available for the dates it will be around, etc. So for us I would pick a Cirque show.

Both are great shows and you'll enjoy either one.

It will be just me and my sister on this trip. Both adults. I'm seriously considering doing both. We'll be there for 2 weeks, so we'll have the time and I'm having a hard time making the decision! Just wish tickets weren't so pricey.

My vote would be for Cirque. I haven't seen any cirque shows but I know that one is unique for Disney, it doesn't travel and you can't see it anywhere else. I went to the Blue Man Group show at Universal, then again when they came to my hometown. While it was amazing both times it was the same show. I had a friend go to the same show in my hometown, didn't know he was there until afterwards, but he also said it was the same as the permanent show he saw in Vegas. Just going by that, I would say you can see that same Blue Man Show just about anywhere. I'm not trying to take away from it, it is amazing and I would see it again. I'm just saying that the Cirque show in DTD is unique and you won't see that specific show anywhere else. That's why I would vote for Cirque. You really can't go wrong with either.

You did say you have the time to do both. I would say if you can afford it, go for it and see both. You'll be amazed by each of them.
