Hi!

DH and I decided to go see Cirque du Soleil while in disney in sept. (however the whole clown/circus thing creeps me out no matter how you try to "foo foo it up") :clown: but he would like to go...so.....we are.

i really do not read much about the show on the boards

i was wondering if anyone can give me their opinions if they have seen it.

i cant really see it being something "not" to see, but i am just curious!

Thank you very kindly! ;)

OK! forget the question- i was just going to order the tix and DH said there is no way he is spending 155.00 bucks on the tix! :rotfl2:

It's an awesome show! Just got our tickets for the Oct 25th show. If you want to preview show ahead of time, I think you can rent the dvd from Blockbuster.

Great show, have seen it three times. But then I like Cirque, LOL, have seen Mystere and KA once each in Las Vegas and -O- there twice, and have tickets for next month for Corteo here in Chicago next month.

There is nothing like it. I would also go out on a limb and say you will love it or maybe hate it. I can't see a middle of the roader for a Cirque show. I would suggest seating in the second tier. Much of the performance is up high and it is much easier to se than if in the lower tier, looking up. Also, some of it takes place on the walkway betwen the two tiers, again, much easier looking down than turning around in your seat to see back and up.

A few seat charts to help, the second one is interactive....

To me, the best seats for the money are in 203, 204, 205 row EE, or aa in sections 202 and 206, JMO.

Enjoy!!

That's too bad...it really is a terrific show.

I'm not much on circus/clown acts either and avoided Cirque for years because of that. It could not be anything further from that particular image. It's focus is more on acrobatic endeavors but done in an amazingly creative and refreshing way, with incredible live music accompaniment. It really defies explanation to some extent, but it is a visual treat that certainly isn't anything close to a traditional circus (ick!).

Once DH finally convinced me to go, I did so reluctantly but ended up being completely enthralled and could not stop talking about it afterward. We've seen other Cirque shows since which were also great, but I think La Nouba is the best I've seen.

Maybe you can get him to reconsider.

I went to La Nouba for my b-day 3 years ago. I loved the show, which I expected as I am a huge Cirque fan. The only thing that bother me was the volume (too loud) during a couple parts of the show. However, I find that many attractions in WDW are too loud for me.

I know that you have already said that you do not want to go due to the price but we just went on the 4th of July and took our two children and I will tell you that it is worth every penny!! My kids absolutely loved it! My dd even commented that it was nothing like the circus. I would have to agree that it is a more acrobatic type of show. You will see trapeeze artists, trampoline acts (which were my favorite), two guys doing tricks on bikes and numerous other events. Consider changing your mind as the show is fantastic and worth the money you will spend. We also purchased tier two level tickets and they were awesome!

My hubby and I have been to 4 different Cirque du Soleil shows in different places around the US. These shows are absolutely AWESOME!!! I mean, these people have such a tremendous amount of talent you could never imagine. I think you'll enjoy it. I don't like circus' either but Cirque shows are not really anything like a circus.

If you look at the expense as a once in a life time not to be missed thing to do maybe then you might change your minds. My husband and I went 3 years ago and it was our best date night EVER!!!! We had dinner at wolf gang pucks afterwards it was all wonderful.......it was a great adult night for us away from the little ones. Every penny well worth the expense for the experience.....I would love to go again on our up coming trip to treat my sister but she can't really afford it and paying for 3 adults and 2 kids really is out on this trip.

My Family has been to see LA NOUBA 5 times. We have also been to Vegas and seen the show Mystere and "O" as well as their shows Quidam and Varekai at Suffolk Downs in Boston and next Friday we will see Delirium, Worcester, MA. My family will never call the CIRQUE's a circus this is called GENUIS. You will truly be amazed at the performers. You will LOVE  everything about La Nouba. You will NOT be disappointed at all!!! I know the tix are pricey but well worth every single penny you spent!!! :thumbsup2

DH and I also went to Cirque early last year when we were at WDW alone and absolutely loved it. Then, we were there in 12/05 we got tickets for our two sons (one teenager and one twenty something) to see it. We chose not to go with them since we had just been there about seven months before. Our daughter wasn't with us for that trip, but, is planning to go with us in 1/07......I'd like to have her see it also because I know she would enjoy it immensely.

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I have been a fan (I've watched the A&E marathons several times) and la Nouba was my first in person show. DW was leery of the price, but OMIGAWDISITTHEMOSTAWESOMETHINGWEHAVEEVERSEEN!!!!! :cool1:

Forget the price - it is worth every penny. DW even agreed to go again this year - and didn't blink twice at the price. Trust me - you cannot miss this show!!!!

Great shos we will do it again. Well worth the price IMO.

I've seen La Nouba more times than I can count - and yet I am going to see it again here in about a week.

It's definately something worth looking into. Search for La Nouba on youtube.com if you want to catch a teaser clip.

My DD and I will be there in August. It will be our first time at the show. If you have an AP or are a DVC member, you'll get 25% off tier two tickets if you order through Disney. Our tickets arrived Monday and we got great seats.
