I am going shopping today at AC Moore, and I am thinking I'd like to get a circle cutter. I like cutting photos into circles, but I don't like doing it with scissors. Any suggestions on a good one that won't break the bank? Remember, I'm a total newbie:).

The only help I can give you is that I LOVE my Creative Memories cutting system. I started out with just the circles but have added the ovals, hearts and most of the other patterns they have. Good luck in finding what works for you.

I too love the CM cutting system. But I also have the fiskars shape cutter and you can get a lot of different templates for it, and also cut free form shapes with it. I do change the blade frequently. But do not confuse this with the Fiskars circle cutter, it is horrible to use and tears the paper A LOT!

Twigs is absolutely right when she said "But do not confuse this with the Fiskars circle cutter, it is horrible to use and tears the paper A LOT!" They are awful! I have one and it needs to hit the trash can..

I was going to suggest the CM cutter. It's the one tool I've never invested in, but wish I had.

To save money, I would suggest a Coluzzle. It's one of the cheapest alternatives for circles and I've used one for 5 years. It's also small - just plastic shapes, a cutter knife and a styrofoam type pad. I'm not sure if AC Moore carries it, though.

Good luck! I love to cut circles. :)

I have found most circle cutters frustrating and difficult to use. Honestly if you're looking for cheap I suggest a plastic template. They take longer, but they're small to store and don't mess up your picture or paper like the Fiskars one does (I'm so glad it isn't just me).

I have the CM circle and oval cutters and they definately weren't cheap, but I LOVE them and use them enough to really make it worth it.

I have tried a couple of other systems because I didnt want to "waste" that much money on the CM system. I was wrong. I bit the bullet and bought the CM system over a year ago it is well worth every penny. I have a few of the other shapes as well. THe only thing I swear by is my CM tape runner and cutting system.

I don't even bother with circle cutters, since I've never found any that I really like (not even the CM ones to be honest). So I just have been buying the jumbo circle punches of various sizes and they work perfectly.

Another vote for the CM cutting system. Well worth the price, you won't regret it!
