Cinematic Dining Experience?

Ok! Who has done this? Worth it or no?

We're doing two nights at Universal. We'll be there March 6 and 7, so crowds will be picking up but not awful yet. This would be on our Friday night. Park closes at 7:00pm, so anyone have any idea what time the dinner would be? I'm debating if it takes up too much park time?

Oh, and our Friday, we won't be there at park opening. We're getting off of the Disney Dream that morning, so we'll have to travel and check in to the resort. We do plan on buying 2-day, park-to-park tickets.

We're staying at Cabana Bay, so no front of the line pass. My priority is on the rides, but my mom is traveling with us and loves things like the nighttime shows.

The show is cute and Lombards is ok.

In saying that I never felt the dining experience had any benefits to booking it.

You get great views around the lagoon just about anywhere, then you can eat where you want.

We are going to be there at the same time and have booked the experience for the night of the 11th. I will post on here what we thought about once we get back.

We're used to WDW, where the dessert buffet at MK is not necessarily worth the cost but provides a great experience.

I'm still debating here! I think the dessert buffet during the show could be a lot of fun? But, still hoping for an idea of what time the meal would have to be with park closing at 7pm? And if anyone has actually done this?

We weren't too impressed with the show. We had a good view of it from outside Diagon Alley, and we essentially walked up 2 minutes before it started. If you want to catch it anyway and were planning on eating at Lombard's too, might as well do it but I wouldn't go out of my way for it.
